Yeah, just finished catching up (bit of a slow reader) and that whole exchange went south fast.

I feel like some things need to be set straight here: Glimmerfags are in virtually the same precarious position that Shimmerfags were in after RR, in that the character's reformation and spike in popularity coupled with the vocal majority's already-low opinions of her all helped fuel shitposters using the character for the reaction potential. Same kind of thread spam, same kind of arguments between old vs new. We shouldn't begrudge Glimmerfags because of something we ourselves had to go through and know from first-hand experience what their current situation is like.
I may have a bit of bias because I like both characters for similar, yet slightly different, reasons. Mostly I just don't agree with having bad blood between groups of users.
I'm also planning on writing something featuring both of them interacting and I don't want to have to put up with shitposting against both of them being the focus.

Near flawless as a villain, very questionably handled since then. Her personality itself has been fine, but the show seems afraid to acknowledge any of her obvious flaws. She's a fairly believable and even relatable person who's being treated in an unbelievable way. That's the main strength Sunset has over her- development. You can't learn to move past your actions if you never have to face their effects. And of course, Sunset has a much better dynamic with the main six since she's been allowed more involvement in group stories.

For who she is, I like her well enough. I only wish she had a less disappointing role in the story.
