So /mlp/, are people who clop to pony porn not furries? I've seen a lot of them reject the furry label. How is it not the same thing?
>>
>>28702497
Rejecting the "furry" label is more a matter of separate subcultures than essential differences. The MLP rule 34 trend/community largely formed independently of furries and while it's not true to say there's no crossover, many people who clop aren't attracted to any "other" furry porn. But at the end of the day, we are all fapping to cartoon animals.

>mobilefag
>you are le furries xddd
bye bye shitbag
>>
This is simple and as been explained multiple times.

Furry = Anthropomorphic animal/human creatures. Generally vanilla & bland with human genitals.

Horsefuckers = Mlp ponies, mostly with horse genitals. This is where the >No Hooves meme comes from. Anthro is furryshit, if you want a comparison.

It all really depends on your arbitrary definition of what a furry is.

Hell, I believe jerking it to actually furry porn doesn't even necessarily make you a furry.

I think it is takes a little more involvement with a fandom than just what you fap to in order to be part it.

But that's just like, my opinion, man.
>>
Because I always specify "-anthro" when I'm jerking off on derpibooru
>>
>>28702943
Well, there are furries who do the same thing
>>
The confusion is understandable and deserves further clarification because not all Bronies are furfags. Generally one can distinguish a brony who is also a furry by observing what they clop to. If a brony clops to real horses then they are also furries. The rest are only interested in fucking those mutant equines that you see in the cartoon.
>>
>>28702980
Actually, they could just be a zoophile.
>>
Furry isn't just "attracted to animals", it's a very broad self-sustaining community.
Just like a lot of people on this board don't consider themselves Bronies because they don't have an autistic obsession with the show, many people reject the term Furry because they don't feel a sexual attraction to anthropomorphic animal traits

The preferred term on this board is "horsefucker"
I would post the Venn Diagram but I don't have it on this computer.
>>
>>28702991
Zoophiles are a subset of furries, not the other way around..
>>
>>28702999
>reject the term Furry because they don't feel a sexual attraction to anthropomorphic animal traits

But, there are furries who don't feel sexual attraction towards that either.
>>
>>28702497
it's more the subculture although a lot of people are travelling it as the rule 34 side and don't want to dip into the furry relatives.
>>28703010
Zoophiles are also their own seperate mass away from this that have nothing to do with furries or the anthro community as a whole.
>>
>>28703010
>Zoophiles are a subset of furries

I don't think that's true. Sure their is crossover between the two, but I believe they are totally separate.
>>
>>28703013
You do realize that stating there is a subset f\of a group that lacks a specific trait, doesn't in any way enforce the idea that a different group without that trait IS part of that group, right?

Like, if I say that Russia isn't an Islamic Caliphate because there aren't camel-fuckers running around, pointing out that Britain doesn't have camel-fuckers either doesn't somehow show Russia to be under sharia law, even though Britain itself is.

I think you need to go re-educate yourself on how logic works.
>>
>>28703057
No of course not, I was try to state how arbitrary these labels are.
>>
OP here. This is much deeper than I thought.

Also I wasn't implying one way or the other, just asking the question.

Lables are a very interesting subject to talk about, There a vast number of options on this subject.

It's actually quite fascinating.

My personal opinion as a ponyfag who used to be a furry is this:
Furries as a whole will try to label whatever they can as furry as a way to bring it into and drive the fandom out of entropy and stay relevant, which is why they say everyghing, even aliens and myghical creatures, and MLP ponies as furries. They say that anything with the slightest anthromorphic features is an excuse enough to reel it in, and the item's fanbase becomes a part of the furry fanbase.

With MLP, the problem is they are not the norm of human with animal head design furry they are used to, so they tried to bring it into their fandom under the term "feral", which just means to them "it is an animal that speaks that I want to fuck". What went wring is at the very beginning MLP very rapidly grew a fanbase and fandom that did not shlick at all with their fandom, causing both to hate each other for not assimilating fully into their fandom, and even thtowing conventions that at times were even more large and grand then ones they had set up for decades, and the numbers don't lie with this.

Those furries that did join the MLP fandom tended to still brand it or mark it as still being somewhat furry and more catering towards their interests by creating anthro art, which is pretty much furrified MLP characters. (Yet some of them will still say regular MLP is still furry, causing people to throw shitstorm arguements with at least one person crying "waaah, it's just semantics and is just the same thing" despite actual differences existing.

A furry can be a fan of MLP, and vice versa, but the two cultures are so different and the art too that in reality there is more that sets the groups apart then what may tie together.

Also, the word brony to me has always been a joke I never really took seriously but around I guess 3 years ago at the height of the fandom got the bad connotation on it by being tied to Reddit tier atheist fedora wearing idiots who showed their power levels.
