To make it better, Sunset Shimmer needs to ride on her own ride with piles of shit, Glimmer needs to fall off the ride and die, Rarity needs to be revived, Dash needs to lay off the meme faces, and Applejack needs to toss the two things in her hooves straight out of her hands which will hopefully kill every new secondary/side one-off character made in the last 2 seasons at the same time that are below. The picture is also inaccurate because Lauren should be facing away from the ride with a look of disappointment and a tinge of sadness.

Return of Harmony could have been as fun as Dungeons and Discord and as charming and subtle as season 1.
Lesson Zero was suppose to be about a comfy starter season episode where Twilight loses a letter and her friends help her recover it. It shouldn't have forced everyone to write moral lessons.
Luna Eclipsed was suppose to reintroduce season 1 Luna as a recurring character through the series, instead Zecora ended up getting more screen time than her. It was suppose to be a fun holiday season episode, INSTEAD WE GOT BULLSHIT

Hearths Warming Eve and The Last Roundup had the ponies fighting and bickering with each other like enemies only to fakely and hypocritically make them apologize to each other while still killing one another.
Sisterhooves Social yet again a plot which never had to happen. A sisterly bickering WHICH NEVER HAD TO HAPPEN.

And it just goes on and on for 125 episodes.

A 7 year old child could write something better because they're not some retarded canuck hellbent on projecting their insecurities, anger, idiocy onto a little girls show. How fucking immoral and inhuman can you get, are you even breathing through that dense head of yours, is the oxygen reaching your brain or do you work on something else?

Then 90% of the fandom has to make matters even worse by ignoring it and denying everything.
If I had the money/the power, I would have made a website for S1 admirers since Best Night Ever ended. I would have made a new cartoon show as a tribute to FIM, but which closely and teasingly resembles the original FiM and continues where Best Night Ever left off, perhaps even rewriting BNE to be a more positive and fun episode in order to drive the point home that this show was never about drama and seeing the characters live as failures.

Lesson Zero helped establish a new way to focus on the others and their lives. The letters from everyone was a great way to do this. And the "forced" moral lesson was perfectly in character for at least twilight. It presented the very realistic problem of over stressing about the little things, like twilight was doing, since it's something we've all done once. The friends ignoring it for it being as silly at it is just another thing we've all been through, probably as the ignoring friend.

Luna had more screen time than zecora in that episode and established that the people were rightfully scared of her. They should have been considering what she had done before. Her becoming an established characters wasn't that episodes fault but the writers for not including her *or* Celestia more in later episodes. Considering the princesses status, they were right to take this path.

Hearths Warming Eve was intended to be a representation of how Equestria came to be and that included disharmony. The friends fighting was a nice little touch to go with the story and showed that everyone still has their own personality and wants from what they do.

The last roundup didn't have the ponies all going against each other. If anything it was just the mane "against" applejack. Even then all they were doing was trying to get her back. Know why? Because life ain't perfect and Applejack isn't the best at everything. She also has a sense of pride.

I bet you and that sister you have that has completely different views from you get along perfectly. Have absolutely never argued before because you live a perfect life where relationships never have problems. Right?

Dungeons and Discords is so far the second best Discord episode in the entire show after RoH. Him acting like "a little bitch" wasn't much worse than him acting like a little child in RoH, really

They just need to take the good from season 6 and keep doing that.

It ended on a strong point with the great finale so they just need to keep at it. There's plenty of new things they can explore next season.

No he isn't, but Dave Rapp doesn't speak for all of season 6. I'd strongly argue that he shouldn't come back. He's a neophyte with barely any writing credits to his name and his three episodes were mediocre at best. I also think they should get rid off the Fox brothers (who have an extensive writing history but were apparently unable or unwilling to do enough research to write good pony) and probably Michael Vogel (who is only good when he has other, better writers around to pick up his slack), but Kevin Burke and Chris Wyatt were good this season, as were Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco, and Nick Confalone was decent (he seems to be a reliable go-to for serviceable filler scripts). And whilst people criticise Josh Haber for setting a poor overall direction for the show to follow this season, the stuff he's actually written has been mostly fine.

These characters have all been written into dead-ends, and they were written there pretty blithely, so there's no way to unfuck any of it.

BUT! It turns out that Glimmer, Trixie, and Discord were all still blank slates to a wide margin and there's a lot we could do by forming a whole new team and leaving the old cast in the dust. I'd mention bug horse, but, well, he's an alicorn princess too now.
