He trades them, and every time he's ripped off, Spike chuckles because he also ripped off the other guy: he always trades his shittiest comics (he would never give up the good ones) but hypes them up as the greatest things ever so he could get a better deal for some average comics he wants to read, and knows the other guy is also trying to hype them up as even better works of art.

Depends, the secondary market for comics is pretty soft. If he's got mint first issue comics or rare variants he could turn a meager profit in a few years.
