And perhaps this is non-canon, but how Sunset was a full grown mare when Twilight was just a filly, in The Fall of Sunset Shimmer. Yet they're the same age looking age as ponies in the first EQG movie.

I'm under the belief that ponies can live an extremely long time, (CENTURIES) being in stages of their life for an extremely long time. Maybe decades.
It could also explain why the Cake twins haven't grown up from being babies after 5 or 6 years.

Also you can't use EqG to support your age theory because not only is it a parallel world that isn't beholden to the main one, but their ages are not a 1:1 match with their counterparts.
For example, Cheerilee is seen as a filly in two different flashbacks so she's the same age as the M6 in ponyverse. Yet in EqGverse she's much older than them.
