This made me think. Why is her name Twilight Sparkle instead of just Twilight? The Sparkle adds nothing. She'd still have a different number of syllables in her name than the rest of the Mane Six, and her name would fit in better with the other Princesses (Cadence is and Empress fuck you). Except for the Twilight novel joke, I cannot see a reason for choosing this name.

The comics as a whole have been steadily decreasing in overall quality for a while now, with fucking Fosgitt's Looney Tunes-esque wet noodle-ass bipedal pony artstyle heralding the end of the decline and the beginning of an outright nosedive.

Also, Zen and the Art of Gazebo Repair was the last legitimately good arc in the comics, prove me wrong.

It'd actually be enjoyable if Pinkie was basically a more selfish version of herself. Basically, look at how pinkie is a fucking annoying ADHD spaz normally, but tries to tone it down for the sake of her friends.

All these episodes shown us more of Pinkie's character. Her flaws. Her weaknesses, strenghts, motovations, inner skeletons and so on

In Party Of One we learn for the first time that she isn't a ball of joy all the time; that she has doubt issues and has a big fear if being forgotten and be wqlked away from. This can lead us to believe it has happened before

In Friend In Need we find out about what Pinkie's goal is and what she wants to give to the world and the lenghts she will go to for her goal. This determination to help others is something she seemed to borrow from Maud. Some one who was always there to protect and keep her happy.

Of course no one would do something without anything return. Giving people happiness is what gives her happiness. To escape from her own insecurities and bad thoughts. To show herself that things aren't all that bad. It is easy to pressume Pinkie could end up an unstable mess without any relationships as it is the only thing for her to live.

In Baby Cakes we learn that sometimes she bits off more than can she chew and likes to prove things to herself. To be able to do them since she seems to be aware how people don't believe her with responsibilities and she wants to proof every one wrong. Pinkie throwing Twilight out of the house is a great example of this. She'd rather deal with her own In Too Many Pinkie Pies we see how the lenths Pinkie goes to make everyone happy can lead to damaging herself and her friends.

Pinkie Pride. The name speaks of itself. Pinkie does have a pride yet insecurities that come along with it. The thought of some one being better than her and being over shadowed is a thing that scares her. We also see Pinkie clearly hiding her saddness from others. Showing how mich damages she hides from others that is within. This episode also shows us that after Too Many Pinkie Pies she'd rather leave all her friends and keep herself alone if it would mean she would stop hurting them in some forms.

In Maud Pie we can see how her older sister affected her future and what she grew to be while also showing that if she senses a problem that is related to her (Maud) we will see her go to over the top means to fix it. (The race). We can see that the motivation and love Pinkie has to help others no matter the costs is something she took from her older sister. It also explains why Pinkie would want a pet some one like Gummy as it may remind her of Maud she cannot be in contact with all the time.


I think she is pretry well fleshed out. Not sure if she can work as a villain. I can imagine her going on a downward spiral where she'd have to deal with loss of some one close and finding others happiness does not help. She'd damage herself more and slightly less people around her before effing herself
