Sethisto just claimed that season 7 will move to Netflix, with all episodes being released at once. Is this smart, or should Seth go to bed?
>>
He should kill himself
>>
>>28564327
I'm pretty sure he has absolutely no reliable source on this.
>>
>>28564327
He didnt claim anything
He just said it was rumored, which is true.
>>
He said it was just a rumor. Why does OP such a faggot?
>>
>>28564327

It'd actually be a nice feather in Netflix's cap.

Plus, the entire season at once would basically cause /mlp/ to explode from sheer gluttonous overload.
>>
>>28564327
Seth should go to bed.
>>
>>28564365
Honestly, I think it's a good idea really to move to netflix. Discovery family is sinking FAST, and its taking FIM down with it.

Netflix is more accessible to little girls than Discovery family is since its cheaper, and netflix is also more friendly towards adult viewers too.
>>
I wanna fuck Glimmer dead
>>
>>28564327
I want him to go to bed knowing he told the truth. I'd LOVE for it to come to netflix, although i'd -kinda- miss watching people's reactions in a stream. But i'd make that sacrifice in a heartbeat
>>
>>28564327
>no more sticky threads every week
>no more reacting live in a chat with other anons
>no more fresh dose of ponies every week

Yo, fuck that, that would be awful.
>>
>>28564375
This.
The rumor seems plausible since LoE went straight to Netflix so I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same with season 7.
I would mind that either but as >>28564365
Said, the fandom would explode from all the episodes being released at once. That would be a lot of content for us to argue about immediately. Also, no more stickys
>>
>>28564444
There is no proof of would be released all at once.
>>
>>28564399
But with the weekly episodes we get roughly half a year of pony, and I like to wait for each episode to each have its time to shine.
On the plus side for this week, I am looking forward to ponies and more ponies all this week as I have not gotten to finish my EQG marathon.

I really hope it doesn't. A lot of pony stuff would die if it did. Can you imagine keeping /mlp/ and EQD alive with only one week of hype a year? Cause that's about how long a season dump would last.

People wouldn't know what to draw, everyone would be on different pages, spoilers would be everywhere. Not to mention a possible gigantic hiatus. Usually episodes are still being worked on when a season begins release on tv.
>>
It probably would not be a season dump. Hasbro would still probably try to go with once a week episode releases. I'm pretty sure you can do that on Netflix.
>>
>>28564534
You can.
>>
>>28564543
Is there a show that does currently?
>>
>>28564548
Chelsea
>>
>>28564514
He's right I just watched Luke Caige on Netflix and now I have to wait a year for season 2
>>
>>28564449
That's been Netflixs pattern with shows. They always release large groups of episodes.
>>
>>28564559
Hasbro could probably demand whatever they want. I don't think the Stretch Armstrong show they're going to do will be that.
>>
>>28564553

If Cage crashed Netflix, imagine what S7 MLP would do.

Also, think about what having Netflix running MLP would do, rather than Discovery (Yes, I know it's Hasbro's baby.) Would we see changes from their input and experience?

good
it will be finally over
>>
>>28564612
I feel the show might suddenly run for way longer, it is even possible that the show might get a bigger budget.
>>
>>28564612
definitely not crash netflix. This show is tiny compared to a marvel release.

Chances are we'd see more crackdown on other stream services like Dailymotion. For actual content and experience, Discovery had 0 say in what pony did, so I doubt netflix would.

The dream would be them swooping in and hiring some actual writers to make it GREAT again. These people with 0 experience are a blight on pony.
>>
>>28564612
They might turn it from TvY to TV-Y7 and get more fighting like in the S4 finale.

netflix is more friendly to pushing the envelope on shit than normal broadcasting is.
>>
>>28564666
They should bring back older writers and/or hire fans.
>>
>>28564666

You're not wrong. There is more than just the writers at fault that make the newer stuff boring/unlikeable though.
>>
>>28564676
>hire fans
i dont think they want porn, anon
>>
>>28564685
Hire from EQD then.
>>
>>28564691
>we get an entire season about trixie and bat ponies
I dont think so
>>
>>28564708
How about hire the EQD featured writers then!
>>
I think they will make a GoH and EqG series on Netflix too.
>>
>>28564685
Hire the non-porn writefags then.
>>
>>28564759
Do you mean like calpain, illustrious Q, and silver shill?
if so
FUCK NOOOOO!!!!
>>
>>28564834
Nah, the people who get story posts
>>
>>28564590
>Hasbro could probably demand whatever they want
And Netflix could tell them to go pound sand. What makes you think Hasbro has the upper hand in the negotiations?
>>
>>28564845
ooohhhhhh
Well I guess if they got the proper guidance it could work..
>>
>>28564879
Or hire Jan or BrutalWeather or whoever made that season 6 hoax.
>>
>>28564888
yeah those 2 could actually be decent, but I'm pretty sure Jan is out of the picture.
>>
>>28564888
BrutalWeather is in Russia, so he is out.
>>
>>28564856
A movie coming out in 2017, and a franchise that made a billion dollars?
>>
Seth should do an articule on Past Sins without being a lazy fuck.
>>
Hire me. I can insert my oc sparklebat waifus.
>>
>>28564327
very bad idea.
a very, very bad idea.
>>
>>28564327
Bad idea. Netflix was good when it was one of the few streaming services. But now with numerous other better ones, it's pretty shitty in comparison. It's likely, but it'll honestly just be the final nail in the coffin for this series.
>>
>>28567219
Hasbro already is making at least one Netflix exclusive show.
>>
>>28567219
>numerous other better ones
such as
>>
>>28564365

>Plus, the entire season at once would basically cause /mlp/ to explode from sheer gluttonous overload.

It would mean 1-2 weeks of show discussion and even longer hiatuses of nothing but erotic green text stories.

Good Luna on the Moon, that'd be horrid.

Where would be the magic of spending a third of a year waiting for new episodes every week and discussing (clashing) with everyone else who sticks around?
It'd be like trying to shove a dick into a pony's posterior without teasing them first, it's simply too much to handle.
>>
>>28567219
Name 1 (one) streaming service a userbse that even comes close to rivaling Netflix.
>>
I've always liked hanging out in the episode stickies and discussing them one at a time as they come out, so I would rather Hasbro/DHX not release every episode at once if they do move it to Netflix. We'd have discussed the entire season after about 2 weeks, probably.
>>
>>28567254
And it's a mistake.

noooooooo I fucking hate when the entirety of a show is dumped, it kills discussion and community interaction
>>
>>28564933
Netflix is a media juggernaut now. Every one of their exclusive shows is released season at a time. This isn't limited to their adult shows either. Their Inspector Gadget revival is released the same way. They practically spearheaded releasing shows this way and it's done them very well.

Hasbro can make a special snowflake case all they want, they'll lose.
>>
>>28567314
Hulu and Amazon Prime are taking pretty substantial bites out of Netflx's userbase.
>>
>>28564327
If they did this, I would actually sub to netflix, at least for a month. Rips are good, but inconvenient. And it is always good to actually show support to the show.
>>
>>28567824
They would probably do it in two or three episode chunks honestly.
>>
>Season 7

hahahahahahahahaha
>>
>>28567851
Why though? What other netflix exclusive show gets this treatment? Most I can see is them splitting the seasons to 13 episodes so 7 becomes 7 and 8.

This sounds absolutely horrible.
Then I remembered that season 7 will be about pink Mary Sue and her new friends instead of the old mane 6, so I don't give a fuck, I won't watch it anyway.
>>
>>28567862
Several do, as long as it is chunked in some way.

there are more than you might think

Hm. I can't really argue that. I forgot Amazon had a streaming service entirely.
>>
>>28564327

There is no time when Seth should not go to bed.
>>
>>28564327
From a pure business standpoint it's a great idea. Netflix's viewer base is like four times what Discovery Family's is, and kids' shows have been very successful on there.

I'm sure Legend of Everfree is basically a dry run for this. If it gets good numbers MLP will likely move to Netflix.
>>
>>28564676
>bring back older writers
Great idea
>hire fans
Not such a great idea
>>
>>28568372
Both are a great idea.
