It's not the best story, or even good but I feel like this is a good thread to talk about it. Do you guys remember that greentext story about an extremely masochistic Celestial and Anon who would torture her and she will simply regenerate and enjoys it. Situations like bonebreaking and blood showers happened and was disturbing as fuck.

Also, the Trixie story is not edgy either. Just because a narration is grimdark doesn't mean it's edgy.

That pet Twilight story, the screencap of which I don't have right now, but gets posted a lot in feel threads, is one of the best pieces of writing to come out of this board. I admit that it brought out the waterworks when I first read it.

There are several of those stories, which one in particular, the one where twilight is dumb with a collar?

A somewhat longer one in a similar vein. This is also a great example of how to do an "anon" story right (even if the character here is pony), our eyes aren't Scootaloo's, but the focus never wavers from her, which is a very common flaw in off-the-shelf Anon stories.
>>
>>28561611
>our eyes aren't Scootaloo's, but the focus never wavers from her, which is a very common flaw in off-the-shelf Anon stories.
I'd say the common flaw in all the Anon stories is the focus on sex, but to each their own.
>>
>>28561624

I'm not a fan either way, but I'd say sex is pretty much the only context where an Anon story is justifiable, you're already throwing any depth of emotion or investment out of the window when you're writing a cheap fapfic, so you might as well take the even easier route and write about Anon.

I liked many of the stories in the short lived "throwing pigs blood at Derpy" general. The only greentext general I've felt I belonged to.
It had exactly the content I wanted.

Modern greentext stories suck. They use "le green faceless man" as main character way too much, and that character sticks out in an EgG story than a human in Equestria. I'm afraid of starting to read modern greentext because I fear they may bring up that at any moment, which instantly ruins the story.
>>
>>28561851
In an ideal world, use of the name "Anon" and references to a bald, green man should only be an absolute necessity. A good writer should conscientiously try to write around it.

Edgy is "dark" in the way that kids use to try and seem more adult, but end up coming off as juvenile. Compare "angsty." It isn't just all darkness in general, unless you're extremely sensitive to anything remotely dark and you start dismissing it as childish as a defense mechanism (or, ironically, to seem more adult).
>>
>>28563755
Agreed, but it's pointless to post unless you're getting at least some feedback. Every amateur writer should have a desire to improve their skills and feedback, good or bad, helps that.

My primary complaint was threads that beg for stories...then once it's finished, proof-read and posted, silence; no replies at all.
I'm going to keep creating and writing no matter what, because I enjoy it, but posting it when nobody is even reading is pointless.
>>
>>28563843
It's faggy, but yea. I like to go out to eat as much as the next guy, but we'd be doing it a lot more often if you sucked my dick afterwords. Or at least held my hand on the way back to the car, shit.

Solution is easy though. Just write, short, shitty prompts while you're drunk off your ass for the fun of it. May not be the best quality, but it's something. And if they can't even be assed to tell you it sucks then it can't be that bad.
>>

If I am to guess, I'd guess all the stories are collected in the last, but I don't know. The chain is broken at some points, so you can't go all the way from first to last.

I think you'd find most of the threads if you use this link, but it's poorly organized, and some threads may only be accessible from other threads

No, they really don't. I'm sure some might, but my understanding is that most get into it because it's over the top and ridiculous in the way of a metal album cover.

I mean, c'mon, minifigs are way too expensive for actual kids to afford.

Anon and Discord's adventures were never really a 'story', they were just episodic little one-shots that loosely followed a simple plot.

I also started 2 other multiparts after Luna's Anonymous, a BonBon one and an Octavia one, if those are what you are referring to, but I'm not continuing those, they're in serious need of rewrites.

Glad to know you like my stuff.

Fair enough. I was going off the fact that it came from the original wargame, but that doesn't have a huge amount of bearing on the current use.
