I cannot live any longer like this. I need to raise my standards and create! but I cannot do it alone.

Grab your finest writefags, artists, ideas from the various corners of the internet, including Deviantart, /co/, /tg/ and meet me in this thread. It's time we made history and altered the world, we've lingered for 6 years, I think we can wait another 3, but till 2020 I want things to be ready.

We need to take back the animation industry 1 step at a time and I have an idea how.

>Not your personal army.
What's the rate? Or is this just some 'labor of love' bullshit that will surely make big bucks so everyone gets paid later?'
>>
>>28474677

Barely anyone in this fandom can write worth a shit; all of the big fan animation projects like Double Rainboom are autistic clusterfucks.

Why should I help? What's in it for me?
>>
>>28474738
No no, I'm not some naive dumbass who doesn't even think of at least paying his hardworking neckbeards in pizzas, spaghetti and peanuts.
The most "labor of love" you'd do is creating a short pitch bible, if you're able to in order to present your idea.

Otherwise, animation is insanely expensive. 75k for 20 minutes of animation is already super cheap. The median should be 200k for 20 minutes of good flash animation.

The problem is getting a consistent, depthful idea going on and then getting the publicity and funding to make it work. Not to mention some responsible freelancers who can manage to deliver on time.

this could go one of two ways
both will make for an amusing train-wreck
>>
>>28474677
What do you plan on doing exactly?
>>
First the idea, then a convincing video, then the indiegogo/kickstarter. Then some quality management and a way to turn the new show into an entire viral franchise like Minecraft.

I'm listening...

Show is produced cheaper than that.
>>
OP, actually do some work yourself before asking others.

Fucking scrub.
>>
>>28474677
I have googly eyes.
>>

The problem is not making the show itself, but paying for publicity and of course, the slot that it will occupy on tv.
That's what is insanely expensive, remember how the superb owl ad was 500k for 10 seconds
>>
Here's problem with trying to make our own show:
1) Many of the talented people we've had in the past are off the ride now. So finding good talent in our fandom would be hard.
2) We have to rely on ourselves for production instead of outsourcing to companies. That means no big-name voice actors, and no professional-grade animation until we get the hang of Flash. (But big names aren't everything: look at MLP; I'll bet you never heard of Ashleigh Ball or Andrea Libman before 2010.)
3) The show we talk about producing is either too similar to MLP that we're begging for C&D, or it's too different and not appealing enough.
4) Most replies are just hype and not any legitimate /content-creators/.

Are you planning a violent uprising like the French Revolution or a 20- year long discreet takeover like Palpatine with the Galactic Republic?
>>
>>28474677
>Let's do something but I want you to propose because I don't have any ideas

Get lost OP
>>
>>28474758
What does a pitch bible look like anyway? Just character drawings with some notes? Plot of the first episode? I mean you can't come up with the ideas for the whole series already, so how does that work?
>>
>>28477844
Yes, basically. They describe and draw the characters, set up the world, and give ideas on what episodes would be like, which may or may not include plots for some episodes.
