>Trixie all that time had a hard time in Equestria, even Twilight was skeptical about her
>Discord almost helps the end of civilization just because Tirek said so, AFTER being reformed, and is automatically forgiven
Why does the universe hate Trixie? Too hot to handle? Too cold to hold?
Because of THE PLOT

Honestly I love Trixie

Because Trixie is a fucking cunt
Karma, baby
Remember the higher you are, the higher you fall, she thought she was top tier and that's why she fell from her high horse.
It all worked out in the end now that she has a new Best Friend.

Trixie is a fantastic pone and should replace twilight next season
>>28428675
The universe is a weird place.
>>28428675
It gets even more hilarious when you add glimglam into the comparison
>Trixie exiles Twilight from Ponyville and goes after the town for humiliating her, terrorizing them for all of a few hours. Twilight hates her guts, even after Trixie demonstrates she knows she has done wrong.
>Starlight rules over a town with an iron fist for an unspecified longer length of time, brainwashing and stealing the talents of the ponies who live there, steals a hazardous magical item, attacks children to get at Twilight, personally assaults Twilight, and subjects everyone in those alternate timelines (including herself!) to the evils found therein.
>Instantly forgiven by everyone.
...wut?
>>28428675
She's an unlucky mare and that's why we love her.
>>28428675
Until Starlight Glimmer was suddenly and strangely forgiven for her horrible cult of personality and completely breaking time, I was hoping that Trixie would take the position of Twilight's apprentice/replacement unicorn.

The judgment on that might not have been as skewed as it seemed. Most of Twilight's interaction with former villains has been with Starlight and Discord. Starlight is strongly opposed to the idea of repeating her mistakes, acts completely different than she did as a villain, and shows some desire to make up for her actions. Discord still hasn't really gotten why his chaos was a bad thing, acts mostly like his old self, and enjoys testing the limits of how forgiving ponies can be. Plus he actually betrayed Equestria once after he turned good the first time. So Twilight knows two types of reformation: the kind that completely changes a person and the kind that could relapse at any moment. Trixie's main issue was pride. When she walked into the castle to announce her friendship with Starlight, she wasn't exactly acting humble.
I would guess that until she saw a show of genuine remorse later in the episode, Twilight assumed that Trixie hadn't learned her lesson because her behavior hadn't shown any changes.
>>28433226
Sounds like Twilight's doesn't trust you turning unless you act ready to kneel.
>>28433311
No, not exactly. Put it this way: remember that one neighbor kid who would lie to you, cheat at everything, apologize with a huge grin on his face, then do the same thing again a day later? I'm pretty sure every neighborhood has at least one. Twilight didn't want Starlight hanging out with the pony equivalent of that.
>>28433226
I think the problem here is that Trixie actually acts realistically, and Twilight treats her realistically. Trixie can't just remove all of her jealousy, pride, and insecurity overnight, and Twilight can't instantly trust someone who's screwed her over twice before. Both Trixie and Twilight's reactions in No Second Prances make sense, and that's why it's a great episode.
Glimglam's reform, on the other hand, makes almost no sense in how fast and completely it happens. No Second Prances is arguably the only episode in S6 that properly deals with Twilight's fears about Glimmer.
>>28433426
I would agree that Starlight's reformation was poorly handled, though maybe not for the same reasons. However, No Second Prances did a pretty good job of showing that she retained some of her less kind traits. Remember the scenes before she met Trixie? Starlight still has a habit of jumping straight to magic as a solution for social problems.

Every one of them needs replacing.
They're done. They've fixed all their problems. It's about time that they get their happily ever after and we move on, lest the show become stale and disgusting like the Simpsons and Spongebob and all the others. Each season has had a major change is status quo, and Season 7 deserves one as well.
Honestly? The meme personalities they gave them in Slice of Life could be fucking expanded upon. Maybe they could have them all do their own thing in a huge converging arc type of thing, and in the finale have them all come together and save the world, classic-style. Each episode would be a standalone mini-arc with each focussing on one of the characters and a step in their long-term goal, with each of their long-term goals serving to bring them together.
Personally? Yes, I do want to see more of Octavia and Lyra and Bon Bon and "DJ-P0N3" l and maybe Trixie. Maybe that Thorax lad. "Doctor Hooves" would have to go, but other than him, I don't see the issue. They have toys already.
Rinse and repeat every half-dozen or so seasons.

He's a spirit of chaos. Spiritually, spirits and gods can be predicted and counteracted once known their name and their exact sphere of influence.
