for people too lazy to watch the video:

>In the case of My Little Pony, a show that started off as a remake of what many people consider a forced excuse to sell toys (and that's from the people who liked it) have transformed it into practically an educational show about emotions and social interactions
>The story takes place in a land of ponies, and one is sent to study the benefits of friendship
>Yeah, sounds like Care Bears greeting card fodder, right?
>Well, in this show, they actually do analyze it, seriously looking at the benefits of kindness, the varying levels of it, and when to use each variation
>It's easy to just say "be nice" and that's it, but this show actually looks at the different challenges that comes with it.
>It isn't just a blanket term, it's explored and analyzed
>So much so that the majority of the fan base are grown men, not girls
>This is a show that was doing its job so well, that it hit on a fan base they weren't even aiming for originally, and now it turns out to be most of them
>and all this comes from a show that just wanted to sell some toys in the 80s
>Who the hell could have seen this coming?

That really does summeraze what I like most about the show, those few rewarding one on one character episodes.

It takes 3 days for /mlp/ to finally talk about this? It aired on Tuesday.

I am surprised how long he even gave focus to MLPfim But he does make a point, shows today are starting to look deeper and it is odd that it be cartoons. Back in "The age of the Sitcom" it was live action shows that focused around a family which were the only ones that tried to dig deeper into social issues and dealing with emotions. Now what is essentially seen as for kids, cartoons, are now taking more mature steps and looking deeper with out being off in a luv wuvvy sorta way or just goofy.
>>
He has made a similar video multiple times under different names, such as "Are kids shows now BETTER then ever?" I never felt his analysis was very deep or interesting, just surface level observations that gets the views of underage children because TGWTG happened to exist at just the right time to get success. There are lots of film/cartoon analysts on youtube that do his job better, he can just ride on the success of being popular a little less than a decade ago.

>sausage party has clever satire, social commentary

DROPPED. It is popular because people found it funny. Don't act like it was actually intelligent.
>>
>>28377517
it does have satire and social commentary though. never seen it so I can't say how well it delivers

and you feel intelligent for say it; is his persnal opinion, stop acting like everybody should have the same opinion than you
>>
>>28377659
I never said everyone should have the same opinion, I just made a post showing I disagreed with him, as this thread is asking what people thought of the video. Are you saying I shouldn't say what I feel about the video because it is his personal opinion? What about my personal opinion?
>>
>>28377715
My opinion on your opinion , it's that i think that your opinion it's wrong, because in my opinion sausage party has some clever satire

Oh fuck I'm actually gonna have to see the sausage movie now. If only to see what's all the fuss. I went to see Kubo the last time I went to the movies and I thought I made the smart decision. Kubo was easily a 8/10, better then Frankenweenie but not as good as Coraline.

Oh really? Well guess what faggot,
I respectfully disagree and hope you understand where I am coming from when I feel that the movie was mostly silly humor rather than a deeply intelligent film that NC implied that it was. Even if you don't see where I am coming from, I have no quarrels with you and hope you can have a good day and improve both your spelling and grammer.

This is the second video he's done about how much better animation is today. We get it already. Give it a rest!
