This is the only bit that doesn't make sense to me. The whole fandom, independent of the show, has been declining since early 2013, if not. At best I can see it flatlining and limping on ever since, but I don't see any realistic posibility of it recovering.

The real important question is if it will be 2017 or 2018 when Hasbro announce another 5 years added to the 2019 one.

Why bother making more seasons when they ruined the show giving protagonism to starlight glimmer? She doesn't fit anywhere and the only way for her to have a relevant plot is to force the rest to act out of character.

I started to delete all episodes where she makes an appearance because she ruins them. We had a good show but now it's starting to get harder to enjoy, what sort of profit does hasbro get from ruining the show like this? So many unsolved things to make good episodes of but they chose to bring a new character that breaks everything that was built instead. What a way to fuck things over, they must hate money.
