Even if America were in a ground-troops war in more than just a handful of countries (really just Afghanistan, and even then combat troops withdrew) the odds you would actually kill someone are pretty damn low, unless you're a drone or fighter pilot.

My brother volunteered to go to Iraq, but he was so autistic the Marines sent him to Japan instead. He came out of the whole ordeal actually deathly afraid of guns. Which I suppose makes logical sense, as guns kill people, but still.
