as much bashing as Dave Rapp gets over Newbie Dash after Flutter Brutter I pretty much want him to write every Fluttershy episode, no one but him and Confalone seem to have any idea what to do with her.

to add to this, I think most of hte writing staff just can't connect or relate to Fluttershy so they have a hard time with her.

That's also why I think Rarity is so popular among the show staff and is probably the most consistently well written character, writers are all creatives and they are all doing comissioned work so while it might be different fields they can see themselves in Rarity and relate to her which helps them write stories about her.

Suited for Success and Canterlot Boutique in particular pretty much screamed of the writers using Rarity to vent frustrations with creative processes in general.
