This is the only acceptable one. No extras, no bronze stars, just the important ones that send a clear message.

If people are *really* concerned about adding a bronze star, it should go below the bottom tip of the shield, to represent the empire we've built on top of that babby victory.

Alright lads
It's time to hit the hay.

The celebration threads might be over when I do awake and with Boris the victory is a little bittersweet but we did it lads. Another Star, against the odds and in a fashion that's really fitting for our team. That 90++ >Rape against /m/ was absolutely glorious. Sheer joy as we won every game and continued forward

I wish they played the replays at the end of the cup, I was only watching on and off for both /block/ and the final boss. It was a damn fun ride, thanks for being on it with me bros.

Friendship really is magic.

I want to keep this thread alive for Boris to come back and talk more after he's had a night to sleep on everything. I really don't want him to quit because of this, I mean that would just look so bad and make for a huge blemish on all future cups.

I'm not looking for an apology from him even if I thought he let his resentment get in the way of good commentary and having fun (including for himself). It was like the /4ccg/ was actively possessing him at times.

Repostan in case anyone missed it in the last thread:

To celebrate today's victory, I put together an archive containing a copy of my orchestral arrangement of "Giddy Up" in WAV, MP3, and FLAC formats, the #rare version with the vocals from the original song, and three short WIP versions previously unheard by anyone outside /clop/ from back in 2014 when I was first working on it.

Thanks. Is there a specific one you're looking for that you can't find, though? At least one of almost every intro that's aired is listed; normally I don't upload the variants for each day unless there's something notable about it. However, you should be able to find the live recordings of each stream at http://archive.klaxa.eu/; I did send Klaxa the raw video files for the daily variants for some of the older ones (like around Summer 2014 I think), but at the very least you should be able to find what you're looking for there somewhere if not on my channel.
>>
>>28229987
I bought the last poster out of sheer hype and I'd likely do the same for another.
>>
>>28229987
If you expect something nice looking, it will take time.
If you're paying for the art, it's gonna be expensive because of the count of characters.
If you're not willing to pay, it's not gonna be done because it's exhausting to draw anthro of characters that nobody cares about outside of /mlp/.

The most achievable goal that I can think of is using the 3d models themselves and make them pose in celebration. Then screen cap that.
>>
>>28229987
/m/ might have us beat in that department but it's tough to say. I think we have more little aesthetic bells and whistles

As austistic as it may sound, hearing Bors so down killed the hype for me, not because he was salty, I can take the bantz as well as anyone, but because he so clearly wasn't having >fun. /4ccg/ can all go and choke on bags of dicks, but seeing Boris so down like that really took some of the joy out of the victory. If he left over this, I don't know what I'd think.

It wouldn't be a good feel in any case.

Don't go Boris, we love you!full homo

I want to give a gift to Boris if he powers through it and keeps going, but the shitty thing is, once we do, there's going to be more shit about him rigging for us, so we're damned if we do either way.

>>
>>28230061
It's his fault in the end, people have had 5 years to stop being triggered by pone. Plus he's probably just playing it up for drama's sake
>>
>>28230025
But all that would happen is we would never win and everyone would laugh at us. It would continue as it was before.
>>
>>28230059
This Anon >>28230061 said it better than my sleep addled brain could. 4ccg can be as mad as they want, but Boris being genuinely sad and unhype was something that was hard to listen to again.
Fuck all those faggots for weighing him down so hard with rigging. They're the ones killing the cup.
>>
>>28230050
To add to this, I think drawing the team as ponies further contributes to the sense of goofyness. Like it would almost be too serious to make a poaster with the actual in-game players on it.

It would kinda ruin the feel and plus I think we really need to play up the light-hearted nature of the whole 4cc if we want it to survive, so it would probably be good to convey that.

That said, I'm really pretty nuetral on the subject, so whatever I huess.
>>
>>28230075
That's the thing though. If it happens once to us, how can you be sure it wouldn't happen for anyone else?

Part of the reason I love this cup so much is the fact that every win /mlp/ gets as a team pretty much proves that the game isn't rigged. We get enough people trying to permaban pony posting as it is. If we were to be banned/rigged out of the cup entirely, that would just spawn a shitton more conspiracies and some other unliked board like /a/ or /vp/ might get hit next
>>
>>28230050
>>28230081
Plus almost all of the team posters have been pones where necessary
>>
>>28230086
Alot of the assblast is also the fact we get to have a 4cc thread on /mlp/ while on all the other boards it's deleted almost immediately.

Wish 4chan was more supportive of it.
>>
>>28230096
>Wish 4chan was more supportive of it.
I feel like the thing holding a lot of boards back is a lack of ability to organize on their boards cause of the site going after it outside here, /sp/, and /vg/.

With the excitement cooling down on my end as well I can't help but feel a little sorry for Boris. His attitude in the end, and the attitude of others towards him over this cup just because he was there really just sort of dampens this.

I don't hold anything against him, even the rant he went into on air. I fully forgive him when he came to apologize and I do hope when he gets some sleep on this he'll find the heart to come back.

Shit, I'd get him a beer or something if I wasn't across the country from him.

Reposting >>>/vg/152549221

AUTSIM INCOMING

So shitposting aside, I think there is a fundamental problem with the 4CC. The fact that only select teams can host threads about the cup on their respective boards without intervention from mods means that certain teams have a distinct barrier towards developing a larger following. Less viewers means less testers and managers; you get how it goes. This is likely why /mlp/ has such a large following, and by extension such a good management lineup. If other boards want to gain a similarly dedicated, numerous, but hopefully less autistic following than /mlp/, then that rule has to change. If all boards were allowed to post about the 4CC, then it would act to strengthen nearly every board save /sp/, /vg/, and /mlp/. The only way to contact 4chan staff on the site for something like this is the feedback page, and in order for them to consider a rule change there has to be a significant amount of people backing a decision. m00t was very stubborn about keeping 4CC threads where they are now, but Hiro has been more open to user feedback during his run as admin. If you want to get the rule change proposed, give your answer to this Straw Poll, and once it gets enough support, we should be able to at least get a reason as to why it can't happen. If you have a better idea, put it out there. Alternatively, you could just shit all over this plan.

Your own damn fault, nigger. We just wanted to be friends and have fun, but everyone is just too butthurt. You are killing yourself to spite sombody else. It's stupid.

Don't get me wrong, it'll suck when 4cc dies and I will be sad, but you are all ruining it for everyone because you are butthurt about a select few.

And if you do manage to kill it, guess who will have the last laugh? We will have the honor of asspaining you so much that you had to spaz out and kill everyone. And make no mistake, we will wear it on our sleaves as a badge of honor.

We need to get 4cc threads allowed on other boards and I think it would do a lot of good for all of us.
>>
>>28230074
This, it this the first time 4cc had drama of such scale? And from what I understand Boris doesn't have anything against /mlp/. He just want everyone had a chance, not only those

Their salt is their problem, and especially we are not to blame for Boris's salt either.

Well here's the thing: we are always going to have the moast cohesive fanbase of any team, even if they allow threads on other boards.

Everybody hates us. Our only friend is maybe [s4s], and /d/ just likes us because we are deviant. That hatred binds us together. The entirety of this site comes down on us, and that makes us closer and more fanatical as a fanbase. It's us against the world. We defey all the odds every time. It's the kind of commeradery through hazing that you see in the military, except that we aren't the ones doing the hazing.

It's everyone else's fault. They have created this monster. We are reacting in the only way we can.

If no one cared about us we would be just as unremarkable as any other board.

some faggot with a username or name called marquot or something. He behaved like a super salt saturated fluid. like the sugar in honey, he had emulsified more salt in his angry tears than would have normally disolved. To give you a kind of scale for this thing, I fucking hate babies, and generally have patience for them only because it's expected of me and being shit to them will only make them worse later.

Even despite that, the noises of the baby in the background where basically one step away from non existant. muffled background noise you could hear 2-3 times. It was all after the game. Despite the non issue someone decided to make a huge shit fit at that guy over it, trying to make him out to be some kind of disrespectful monster for him having to hear a gentle giggle in the background once every 20 minutes

The poll is a bit stupid because it was only posted in 4cc threads. There is no legitimate reason not to want this if you care about the 4cc.

That being said, the threads could just be filtered by those who don't want to see them. This could even be the default setting if this is possible (sorry for being this new)

The other boards don't need to understand every element of our logo, they need to be able to identify it.
>>
>>28230753
I love this. We've been accused of being try-hards. This proves we don't take it so seriously, and that this is just for fun. But at the same time the huge 2 would make the second star even more obvious for the people who are still salty. Also, the clumsy derpy-esque placement of the star is a nice inside joke. It's fucking perfect.

Yeah, they don't have to understand the entire show lore at a glance, but the stars are something universally recognized. To bastardize their appearance devalues them IMO.

I remember an anon bringing up this very exact point when we had to settle for the design of our first star. Some anons wanted Twilight's cutie mark to be there, but he felt this was alienating to the other boards. I agreed with him then, and the same principle applies here.
>>

The very beginning here. I don't know who this is, Cyclo or Marqod, but he barges in, tells the manager of the winning team to shut up, and demands to see cards of one of the players, because it's not like there is a system to do that off air or anything. Why?

Then the same person makes a jab at >us having 20 stars as is https://youtu.be/8fA5NPONqI0?t=299
This was a good one, and I have no issue with that.

However, then this garbage happened https://youtu.be/8fA5NPONqI0?t=379
This is Marqod. And he displayed the lengths of autism that should not be remote possible. We have a manager come on and apologise for being cocky in victory (which is a running theme of 4ccg), and this retard assblasts him. Everyone was like "is this nigger for real?", and Kregg gave him the "angry kid rant" treatment. He got laughed at and left, but his presence in the call served nothing but to uncomfy the whole thing.

Nobody said this was Cyclo, as this is confirmed to me Marqod. Whoever made the >Rape card accusation was unreasonable, but Marqod is a raging autist. That's the message.

Doing that on air was like walking up to the top three stage ceremony during the medal awarding at the olympics and asking the winner to pee in a cup on the spot because you think he was cheating.

It was fucking retarded, no matter how much people hate on /mlp/ or ponies.

If you're talking about the "NOOO DON'T CHECK THAT" before it was actually checked, I'm 99% sure that was joking around. And then when it actually happened he just seemed annoyed.
>>
>>28231007

Honestly, I wanted Boris to go through every fucking player manually, just to satisfy butthurt rulesfags.

PMB probably got defensive because he was, literally, the only one speaking up in defense of /mlp/. Darkbow here is quiet: it's part of who he is, and that's okay. Other than that, it was one raging autist and several disappointed riggers against just him. How do you not be defensive there? You'd have to be the coolest person under pressure not to.

May I add, telling someone to shut the fuck up is not something you hear a lot on 4cc. Telling someone to kill himself or burn his house, yes. But not cutting someone off and going on with your point. Let alone minutes after that someone has won a fucking cup.

You fuckers need to take a step back and look at just how much autism you are spilling. You gazed into the abyss too much, and now you are one giant gaping black hole yourself

Oh boy, scarves.

In the past few hours, I have gotten quite a few emails again, and I guess it's best if I said a few words.

First and foremost, I have about 50 scarves left (many flawed ones included), but I have reached the PayPal limit again and I am busy with other things, so these last few will take a while. Still, there are probably 100-200 people left who still want one.

Now, people are asking again if the scarf will be updated. Same answer as last time: no. I never wanted to update the scarf for three reasons:
1) Prevent people from getting the original scarf just because they were late to the party.
2) Have anons with enough cash just order another one as well, preventing my 'job' from ever ending.
3) >4444 cleary references our Babby Cup win, not anything that happened in the following two years.

(cont.)
>>
>>28231174
Because I don't watch the cup for the victory but for the memes.
And /mlp/ is one of the teams that is putting a good amount of work into it, so I'd hate to see them go. If it was all just teams with the regular character skins and boring as shit jingles I'd stop watching.
And that's where you would end up if you begin banning teams for putting too much effort into it

However, people seem to really like the idea of a new scarf. Let me explain what would have to happen in order for this to succeed:
1) Tighten the legal screws so I am no longer bound by PayPal limits or risking being accused of tax evasion.
2) Optimize the workflow through some kind of 'shop'.
3) Better compensation to justify the time I am investing into this.

People claim that solving these issues is easy, but it's not.

As for 1), I'd have to include an invoice with each scarf that includes my full name and whatnot. I am not in the US, so things are different here. Aside from doxxing issues, this adds roughly 20% additional overhead. Also, I would actually have to register a business, and you guys might actually have to visit customs and pay extra, depending on where you live. I admit that my knowledge is quite limited in that regard, but doing the research would eat up time as well; time I hardly have.

Number 2) ties in with 1), but also makes it even easier for every Reddit brony to get a scarf as well. This already happened and I am aware of the scarf being an HN icon for a while, and it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. While I am fine with anyone enjoying and watching the cup, it hurts to walk up to someone wearing a scarf and realize they never watched the fucking cup. Also, C&D becomes a possibility.

There are two solutions to 3): risk trying a new, cheaper manufacturer or make the scarves more expensive. The actual issue however is that every hour I spend on the scarves is time I could earn money or do something fun. I don't wanna be that kind of person and I wasn't in the past, but life is moving on and I have to adapt. This however brings us back to the money making scheme issue. 4chan staff seems to be cool about the cup, but that could quickly change because of something like this.

I am just really backed up. The PayPal money cap is the biggest obstacle, but it's also my personal time. I still want to get through the whole list, even if it takes another 2 years. It's just not going to be efficient. If I had solutions to the problems mentioned, it would be really easy to run the old scarves on the side, as I could e.g. just have you add a certain codeword to your order and I'd swap the new design for the old one, or something like this.

It's just so many little things that just add up: having to order scarves in huge batches, mass emails, verifying payment, postage, quality assurance, writing labels, having the occasional anon that needs 8 emails instead of just 2... I don't wanna sound like I am complaining or venting, but there is a reason why I don't answer every single email or sometimes take weeks to do so. It just takes time, and even though I got some help this batch, buying her lunch for compensation doesn't stop me from feeling like I am torturing that poor girl when she is packaging another 80 scarves.

I hope Boris is feeling better about the whole situation thanks to support he received.

I just want to see new star on the logo and then I'm leaving threads till the Autumn, this is no longer flavortown.

Is that including the people ordering now? I'm guessing there was a similarly huge glut of people back in February, so I'm curious as to how much of that is remaining (or if that's the whole of the "100-200" figure).

And what kind of cap does the PayPal limit place on you? Is it an annual thing?

It's kind of alarming to me, how many boards are just plainly unaware of the 4cc's existence. Every time I venture into a /gd/ or /an/ or /co/ thread and everyone asks, "What the hell is this?", it's a little bizarre.

Thanks, Anon. I honestly thought IT'S /o/'S YEAR WOOO for a bit there

I would've been fine either way seeing as /o/ is my secondary board, but I think /mlp/ is in a catch 22 with winning because of all the hate, and even "attempts", more like jokes than anything, to get /mlp/ banned next year. That just really goes to show that some people can be sore losers, but I'm glad not everyone is
>>
>>28231421
>Is that including the people ordering now?

>And what kind of cap does the PayPal limit place on you? Is it an annual thing?
Yes. It's a warning around 1800 €, and at 2000 € there is potential trouble. Or something, I'd have to check.
My spreadsheet says that the next person has number 381 (that is just from way 5, it doesn't say anything about the amount of scarves, really). Not counting the emails from yesterday, I have people all the way down to 530. Experience shows that about 30% back out, almost regardless of when they got on the list.

Another anon interested in the scarves.
Do you make them yourself or get them manufactured elsewhere and just act as the middleman, sending them out?

If it's the latter, is there any way we could just get a template or something so there's no need to wait on you(not to be rude family, it just looks like lots of people want the scarves).
I get the whole idea about not wanting en masse redditors having scarves for bandwagon sakes, but it'd be cool if genuine fans could have a better shot at getting the scarves. Imo(as a non-scarf person) it's worth the trade-off.
>>
>>28231434

The problem is probably that you have to order them in bulk. So you need more distributors/middle-men, which inevitably would lead to someone trying to scam.

I went to bed so I couldn't catch the aftermath. It's sad that there had to be so much hatred. The cup was by no means a walk in the park. Rest of the management were up running mini tests inbetween knockout games to get a feel for what could work. While I might not have been here to make a proper post after the day, from what I was hearing the games were really close, with some lucky 90+ goals pulling us through.

It wouldn't be an elite cup without good managers being behind the teams that made it past groups. It was a difficult group with good teams, and the knockouts were just as difficult and close. People were up for a long time testing for them. It's sad to see BGP go after all this time after all the help. I must be the longest lasting verified manager at this point for the team, yet it feels like yesterday since I joined after Winter 16.

I wish to extend my appreciation to Boris and his incredible dedication to the cup for all the time he's been here. Sure not everyone wants to see us win, and I would be naive to think otherwise. But I think the onslaught he's recieved is rather uncalled for, considering he's used his free time and energy to bring entertainment to the cup. Don't let people taking things too far bring you down, because a lot more people appreciate what you've done. It wouldn't have been as entertaining without your commentary along with others during the streams.

I want to extend my appreciation for the close games other managers have given us. I'm not one for serious arrogance or gloating or rubbing salt in, as poor sportsmanship ruins the fun atmosphere the cup is supposed to be. Just because people hate /mlp/ doesn't mean I should hate them and throw fuel on the fire.

Now onwards to Winter 17, whatever version it may be. If you applied to be a tester just bear with us a little bit. I'm on a vacation/holiday right now, or you could contact another member of staff and see if they can help you.

Good cup guys.

Couldn't you do your business registration things to make paypal happy and just continue to not include an invoice? Granted, that would technically be illegal but probably not any more illegal than what you are currently doing.

This would still require you to do the (admittedly quite scary) business registration thing but your local tax office can allegedly help you with that.

>3)
I would be in favor of keeping your current manufacturer and raising the prices. 20€ (if that price is still current) is incredibly cheap for a niche product like this and you could probably charge 30 or even 40 and still get more orders than you can handle.

I was under the impression that you *wanted* to do that.

The paypal name thing is something that I did not think about. You might be able to get around that by using a paypal business account but then you might have to register an actual company instead of a personal income source which would probably be more effort.
>>
>>28232639
Yeah, sorry, I should reword that. By making my name available, I'll make myself more vulnerable to legal shit as well. Sending inproper invoices wouldn't help that much then. Also, any business needs to be registered and can be looked up, afaik. So at the end of the day, I am exposing myself, one way or another. Halfassing the whole legal thing just seems like a slippery slope without proper research.
>>
>>28232712
That's correct, every business needs a name attached to it registered somewhere. In the states if you fake that then you're breaking federal business laws which is a lot worse than anything else you're currently doing.
