I think the art-style is absolutely genius. They are far more human and far more attractive than prev gens.

Because it combines adventure and whimsy without pandering to any specific audience while pretty much reinventing the standard for "girls cartoons", and also pretty good music and traditional humor with the use of....jokes, not whatever has managed to replace humor in most cartoons these days...I guess they call it "quirk"

Unlike other shows that tried to do the same, with Adventure Time pandering to hipster sensibilities and later SU pandering to the SJW crowd
