I am one of the pioneers, original fag.
My opinion is that after s3 it went to shit even worse, and people here have admitted that even if some episodes are utter shit they are loyal to the show.
Imo it is not worth it to watch anymore, maybe for a few gems here and there, like Pinkie apple pie if you like the pairing, Filly vanilly if you like Flutters, the popstar episode of coloratur (the mane event), gauntlet of fire if you are spikefag and Slice of life but only if you like the fandom autistic headcanons, otherwise you will hate the pandering.
Other than that, fuck this show.
