I'm more insulted and turned off by the ridiculous "lesson" at the end that treated everyone involved like idiots and ignored any development they've gotten before now. The crusaders have disagreed with and disobeyed their older sisters, before, with things working out for the best, and they're certainly old enough by now that "I thought older ponies were always right!" shouldn't be something they believe. They're not that naive.

Stranger Than Fanfiction basically made fun of the same asshole fans of the fandom everyone else on /mlp/ would, not that most people outside of /mlp/ gets that meta. We're talking the "show is dead to me because Magical Mystery Cure" types here.

This one isn't a fan slap, it's a "don't fucking trample all over your kid's chance to be creative and have fun, support them instead."

If you look at this season overall, you would notice that most of the stories are moral/lesson stories for adults. Example: if you been doing a task for so long, it is just the "expected" way it is.

Getting off topic here, but it's too bad that the LPS writers were doing exactly that yet the toyline ended up not selling well because they weren't making most of their toys based on of what was on the show, and as a result they cancelled the show because of poor toy sales.

It was a really stupid decision. The show didn't even have a proper ending because they didn't expect to get cancelled.
