"They'll never accept it."
"They'll all laugh and hate me if they find out."
"And I don't blame them. A stallion shouldn't be doing this."
"I shouldn't like this."
"I shouldn't want this."
"I was born a stallion."
"These desires are wrong."
"So then why does wearing that wig and that dress feel so...fine?"
"And besides, what's so wrong with wanting to feel...pretty?"
"They'll...no pony will ever have to know."

Big Mac is pretty enough as he is.
It is wrong to assume someone is trans just because they act out of their sex' stereotypical gender role.

This. Just because he dreams of being a princess and loves wearing dresses doesn't mean he identifies as a mare.

Thank you for agreeing with me.
I also want to expand on this.
Likewise, it's also wrong to assume someone isn't trans just because they don't follow their gender's traditional gender roles. Trans people have just as much right to act outside typical gender roles as cis people have.
There are, however, some factors that complicate this a bit. It may actually be better to assume someone who acts against their sex' gender role is trans, after all. Because this may be a way for the trans person to express their gender, and by assuming everyone acts according to the gender role of their gender identity, you may reduce the risk of misgendering people. And, while I'm not completely sure, it may be better to misgender someone who is cis than someone who is trans. After all, trans people have to deal with this all the time, which can be really tiring, while a misgendering of a cis person will just be a funny one time event that they can laugh at. It's not so easy to laugh when you are constantly hit with it.
But like I said, this is a complicated issue, and there might be more perspectives too. But it may not be as simple as my initial statement, there are some complicating factors here.
