Honestly instead of posting it 4 times you should have done several iterations by now to try to work on the problems you have. Even if you dont SEE the problems, you need to be making smaller, thumbnailed images so you can get the basic shapes down instead of going for these very large, bulky shapes right off the bat. You'd be surprised how well you can work out a problem by drawing it several times over. You could have pumped out several drawings in the time it took you to repost that image in several threads.

3 main problems with the head: the back of the neck isn't wide enough at the base, the underside of the muzzle doesn't have that recurve, and the muzzle comes out a bit too far.

Also, her legs are very bell shaped, they start very thin at the top and quickly grow wider. I can see it a little bit in the pixel outline, but it's not as dramatic as it should be. Ya feel me?

I hope this all made sense. I tried to a do a little editing to a stock image of her from the same angle (but opposite side) but I'm a mobilefag so the res/quality might be shit. I did my best

There's no wrong way to start but you can develop some bad habits very early. I'm going to tell you right now that you're main objective is to draw everyday. EVERY. DAY. Give it at least 30 minutes a day to an hour. After about 2-3 weeks of drawing every day it'll become habit and it will feel weird when you skip drawing for a day. Sooner or later you'll be drawing 2-3 hours a day and it'll be time you won't even miss because it's just a habit you've formed.

Some anons mentioned drawing circles and it's not a joke. I live and die by circles. Practice doing them both clockwise and counter-clockwise. Basic shapes are you friends. Squares, spheres, pyramids, etc. Pones have a bean shape so get very familiar with it. Most of your drawings are going to involve some sort of bean shape even when drawing humans or other mammals.

The above videos are very good at explaining what "the basics" means. The spiral and circle exercises are going to cover the hand-eye coordination aspect of drawing. The arm you use to draw is your life-line so it's very important to do some very fundamental exercises every now and then to make sure you're staying sharp. Everything else about drawing involves the technical and intuitive parts; using your knowledge to draw well. These are ALL going to be very weak so dont expect decent results for a while. It's very easy for a complete beginner to get frustrated because they aren't drawing like their favorite pony artist yet. The key word is: time. If you want to be an artists be prepared to take a lot of time drawing.

Draw ponies from the show and the imgur link in the OP to get started and try to have fun but think with a critical mind.

another anon here, thanks a lot. I'm trying to push to draw every day but some days I'm lazy, some days I draw alot. 30 minutes every day sounds doable, I usually do more than that during a session because it takes me longer than 30 minutes to sit down and finish a sketch or drawing anyway.

It's really important to always look back and see the progress you've made, in all things in life.

Best advice I have for you as a fellow beginner is to look at those links in the OP and look at every image. Find something you want to work on (like a particular pose or just side-views to understand anatomy) but mix it up with your own ideas; outfits, actions, favorite ponies,etc.

I either have an idea to start with and then find ways to challenge myself with it, or think of something I want to improve and then find an idea to motivate me to do it.

But don't feel discouraged if you don't feel up to a challenge some days, draw whatever as long as you're drawing

I'm the laziest motherfucker in the world so if I can make some improvement in 1-2 months, anyone can and it requires minimal effort as a simple hobby. I actually started drawing again as a form of therapy, not looking to be a top artist or anything, I'm already happy with what I've done and am looking forward to doing more.

I've learned that when I start a drawing session that the first couple of sketches are going to look bad and I use it as a way of warming up. After about an hour or so my stuff usually starts to shape up the way I want it. It's a shame when it's late at night and I'm in a groove but I end up having to go to bed because it's so late.

You should really take the time to understand how the neck connects to the body instead of winging it. Using shapes to figure things out is great but there are times when you need to use your knowledge of anatomy to make it look right. You make your chests way too big consistently and it ends up looking very jarring 90% of the time. Her hips are also broken as in in their tilted in a different direction than what you implied in the torso. Her entire right leg is dropping. Also, it seems like you're trying to use line weight when you don't really understand what line weight can mean and imply. In the middle of pic related touches on what line thickness can mean.
