It's a valid way to cope with waifu feels and I understand where they're coming from, but I can't go for it.
I just don't like that it seems to be the most common way of doing it around here, like it's obvious, and that trying any more abstract philosophy regarding waifu or trying for a tulpa is considered ultimate autism.
I'd rather feel nice and satisfied about my feelings for her while I'm alive, personally, instead of giving in to the common "she's not real except for after you're dead, so live a good life for her" thing.

I agree with you about not betting everything on the next life, and being happy for her here. I do things in her name from time to time to celebrate the one I love.
That said, I also have a crippling fear of death, and concentrating on what we may find on the other side helps me get through the day.

I've always found the whole "Equestria when you die" thing weird honestly. Primarily because I find no real evidence that there is an afterlife at all.

I'm hoping for two things, though I cling to neither of them too closely as I know I may never be able to see it.

The first is that my theory on alternate universes is correct, that there are infinite alternate universes and that includes (by default) one where Equestria is real.

The second is that one day, the technology for inter-dimensional travel will be invented and I will be able to go there under my own power and visit that world, along with every other alternate universe I want to visit.

My main goal for now is twofold, firstly, to live long enough for humanity to finally defeat ageing and death so that I may live long enough to see this invention. Secondly, to remember each and every world I wish to visit, centuries or even millennia from now so that when that time comes I will not have forgotten my wish.

Not that I am hanging everything on such a slim hope though, there is also true Virtual Reality, which will come much sooner and will allow me to visit these worlds, even if in a programmed, digital and ultimately not real form much sooner.

If one day, in about 60 years when true VR exists you see a VR world uploaded to the internet for all to download and explore simply called "Equestria". I hope that you remember that show, that little girl's show that ran for a few years many decades ago, and I hope you remember this post. Because that world will be created and uploaded by me.

And there's still two major problems with the rest of those things you mentioned. People can believe without getting involved in all the secular bullshit that organized religion likes to put on to get more followers.
People can also believe in a higher power without taking every word in a dusty old tome from the desert literally, strange as that may seem.

It's a shame that you don't practice what you preach, you arrogant, bitter man - otherwise you might look past your own pie in the sky fantasy, and find that this world is not as black and white as you want it to be.
