I like to self insert into "anon in equestria" type situations. I also do it with other things like books and shit. Over the past couple years i've had a running story going on in my head about how i was transported to some high fantasy type world and how i'd end up having to fight for survival and eventually a way back to earth, shit goes wrong with the portal on the way back and i end up in ponyville where the girls take me in. Then they start joining me on crazy adventures to other alternate universes and shit. I know it's autistic as fuck but i like to day dream so why not be the hero of the story for once right? Life inside my head is so much more interesting than reality.

I feel like I'm getting over horse ever since I attached myself to another show. Since this show is in hiatus again, I started dabbling in some new shows, since I'm impatient. Found a new one, and now I think I've abandoned mlp, I don't feel as strongly as I used to, and I've stuck around for a long time. Hell, I haven't been here ever since the hiatus kicked in, mostly because there's never any good threads. I think I've finally escaped the clutches of the show guys.

My life has gotten significantly worse over the last 3 years. Watching, looking at, and reading about colorful cartoon horses helps me forget that.

The more time I spend on pone, the more I find myself wishing I could be in Equestria. They have their share of problems, sure, but the worst of those can be blasted away with weaponized friendship and love. And the rest are all things that can be solved, or at least brought under control. Here, we seem to be stuck in a cold and thoughtless world, tossed about mercilessly as we attempt the dance called life.

I like to tell myself that I'll be with my waifu one day, in a world much better than this one. Maybe in the next life, if those stories from people who experience NDEs are right.
But all this waiting around is maddening.

Yes. I had a severe depression when I discovered the show. I was planning on killing myself and I even had chosen a bridge to jump from. I don't even know why I gave the show a try, but I did, and it's the only reason why I'm alive today. Honestly, I can't believe I was so close to kill myself, and I can't believe something as silly as a cartoon literally saved my life. But I'll be never grateful enough.

MLP isn't aa important to my psyche as it seems to be for some anons, for whom MLP helped with depression, or even prevented them from suicide, but it is a consistent source of joy for me. I'm sure I'd still be generally content with life even without MLP, but I'm glad that for almost six years now, I've had such a cute, innocent form of entertainment to make my life that much better. So it is significant for me.
