As an insider, I can say that we are basically interchangeable with furries from an outsider perspective (and my own insider perspective to be honest). Any time you are arguing the superiority of fandoms of drawn or cartoonized animals, you are automatically on the bottom of the totem pole in the mainstream's eyes.
