One of the reasons this board has been on a steady decline since we left /co/ is because we've been steadily been taking ourselves more and more serious.
It's like we're on the opposite spectrum of the mainstream bronies. They let go to the point of embarrassing themselves, we went the other direction to the point where we're we feel the need to police every goddamn thread, witch hunt every thing that's going on.

There's a reason why CYOA, AiE, Fingerbang, Pencil's comic and other story-driven threads are the only things keeping the board alive between episodes, it's because they're fun, something a lot of people on this board have become too snobbish about.
