No Second Prances and Hearth's Warming Tail were Twilight/Starlight episodes.

It's pretty obvious that they are using Starlight as a way to teach Twilight what it means to be a teacher.

I really enjoyed that episode. It showed that friends can get disconnected from each other just by living their own separate lives.

Also, I like the moral. We use recycled paper in the printer at work, one side is a promo from some business that sent us junk mail. I'm sure it used to save the boss money, but now we employ 50 people, and we buy a box of paper every two months. It saves us literally no time or money because each "recycle" sheet costs the time it takes to separate it out instead of shredding it, and putting it in the printer.

I'm sure that patching the chickenwire used to save AJ time and money, but if she has a good supplier, it should save her time and money to just replace the whole section. Good call on rarities part, especially since she, I'm sure, used to waste time and money reusing old thread until she figured out the same thing.

She's an autist who's only interest is rocks. Most of her lines involved goddamn rocks.

I didn't like how everyone became a useless fuck in the climax, and Maud somehow navigates the entire course Pinkie made and smashes a rock with her bare hooves.

Then the entire point of the episode (you can't make friends with everyone) gets thrown out the window at the last second because "We're all friends with Pinkie Pie guys." So apparently they all became friends.

I missed that episode and bought into the hype around here and I was incredibly disappointed.

What is the deal with this opinion and why do so many people seem to share it?
Its not a great episode, probably the worst of S1, but even then it still had a few solid parts. Spike's villain thing was good, Quills and Sofas was great, Pinkie and her quiche/quail etc were funny, the stargazing scene is one of the comfiest the show has ever had, and even the stupid "Hoo" "Who" joke was kind of amusing.
Its probably not even in the bottom 5 episodes anymore.

The point was that friendships can be founded on different grounds than just shared activities. They were all trying to connect with Maud on other merits like fashion and books when their initial commonality was their bonds with Pinkie Pie.

Everyone involved would have probably had a better experience if they'd hung out with Pinkie normally and not tried to force the issue.
