I try to reserve judgement on Rarity episodes as they seem like gen 3 garbage when you describe them but are often top tier when you see them.

Let me clarify my original post:
I'm saying most episodes could be considered "filler" because MLP doesn't have this big, overarching plot.
It's not an anime or anything. It doesn't exactly follow a main story which unfolds all through the episodes. Hence why the episodes can't technically be filler, since that would require for MLP to have a main story arc like in your average anime/serial TV show.
