Whats a good way to make different vectors? I like this picture, but I tried turning it into Sweetie Belle but I didn't really like how it turned out. Vector thread I guess
>>27008288
Have you tried having sex with it?
>>27008288
Post your attempt, friend.
>>27008288
This is my Sweetie edit
>>27008316
It looks fine aside from the shitty artifacts.
Gotta get that one pixel brush and lasso, motherfucker.
>>27008316
I make vectors by tracing over the original image with the pen and line tool.
I do it in Flash, but you can use GIMP, Photoshop and shit, just stick the different parts on a different layer.
I can't really do these too well because of the artifacts, but other people should definitely make remake this picture with all the other characters. This face looks too good, and I would appreciate a good looking Sweetie edit
>>27008356
You have to be fucking kidding me. I just spent the past two days working on an image like >>27008337
Two minutes after reading your comment and a section that would have taken 5 minutes is done in 1.
Fuck me.
>>27008453
Kek
Yeah, just trace the lines, and fill them in with colours you want. If you're trickier, you can make an add shit in yourself.
I vectored each frame of the related image, added new shit, and put them in their respective states.
I made it for someone because those dancing pones were cute as heck.

Well, Anon, assuming you were a licensed user of Illustrator CS2, you could always take advantage of the fact that Adobe shut down their activation servers a few years ago, and publicly published good-forever keys for anyone who had an installer file on Windows with a checksum of be0518somethingorother1525.
The other solution is actually just about as good: inkscape.org - GNU software that also does vectorization.
Because the root cause of your problem, Anon, is that you're using a raster image editing program to produce vectors. The vectors you see published? Those are typically done in vector editing software (Illustrator or Inkscape) and people just tell the software to produce a big-ass raster (JPG/PNG/GIF) image of the vector original.
Personally I make vectors by using the Paths tool in GIMP. I align each point so that they conform as best I can manage to the curve of the outline and then click edit and select from path and then copy and paste the selected area into a new image and save it as a png.
>>27008316
Give Inkscape a shot.
You have some tutorials to get started in http://mlp-vectorclub.deviantart.com/gallery/36301003/Tutorials-Inkscape

Motherfucker, this breaks chrome.
Don't do that.
>>27010036
I DID IT ON PURPOSE, HA
>>27009980
Well it was the thought that counted. Thanks for the vector, Anon, good work, even though I can't see it

That's one helluva big pone
>>27011697
she's a big filly
>>27009980
Just for information...
How much time did it takes to you to make this ?
>>27014416
Not him, but about 2-4 hours for a beginner
Easily can be half of that if you're experienced
>>27013219
For you
>>27014863
Thank you.
[blog]Cause that's the time I take to vectorize a pony.
I was thinking that I was slow, but I just need to improve[/blog]
>>27014863
when you get more experienced, this could jump to minutes.
>>27015232
renember, the less vector points you use, better the vector will look like
>>27015232
>>27015292
even using inkscape?
filling are a pain in the ass...
>>27015346
adobe flash handles the fills better than inkscape, "close medium, or small ,or large gaps" that helps with the fill problem.
but it supports 2D vectorlines only, tha means, if your line crosses another, then it split into 2 lines, you wouldn't be able to control the line like you would on inkscape.
your best bet would be flash to do it, once you learn how to overcome the split lines
>>27015530
Thank anon.
I will try these someday.

mane 6 edit when?
>>27017379
More like "every pone in the show" edit when? Seriously this face has great potential
>>27014416
Sweetie took me about one hour, but I used some tricks to speed up the process, that's why some of the line tapers look weird. A proper vector would have taken me at least 2 hours, like >>27014863 said. But someone with more experience could have done it much quicker, it's just a matter of practice.
>>27017971
I'm NOT doing "every pone in the show". No way. But I'll upload the svg later for anyone who wants it. It's a complete mess, so using it for recolors won't be a pleasure. I could upload it now, but... I'm too lazy to make up an excuse, whatever.

well i made something in waiting for better version

Uh, I almost forgot the svg:

That's just the Sweetie one, I'm too lazy to upload all of them.
>all these edits
they look high as fuck, or morning face
>>27018399
It's alright man, I no one guy should do this by himself. If I was any good at making these, I would help in making several edits
>>27019345
banned words?
>>27018399
You fav pone a shit! A SHIT!
>>27019664
>Milky
Jokes on you, i'm already unempoyed
>>27020071
Well, not exactly "banned", but there are certain words that are automatically replaced in 4chan, ie. "t b h" is replaced with "desu". I don't know the whole list.
>>27020076
My fav pony is Scoots (see >>27019389)
So TAKE THAT BACK OR I'LL CUT YOUR FACE.

>This breaks Chrome
I want this meme to die, and for that to happen, everyone who tries to use Chrome on a fucking Pentium II with 512MB of RAM needs to die.
>>27020485
I guess people got to stop posting on their phones as well
I thought I might as well ask this around here.
Other than the fact that it's free and whatnot, are there any other benefits to using Inkscape, rather than Adobe Illustrator?I've been thinking on switching, but I'm too used to Adobe's UI. I also have a pirated it pirated, anyways.
>>27021024
I like Inkscape because I'm a freefag and I prefer free software. But I'm not an "evangelist", so if Illustrator works for you, keep using it.
