Probably the overbearing big brother type like most of you are guessing. I don't think the writers are bending over backwards to make the characters interesting anymore. Hasbro isn't pushing them to put out quality, just pandering, so they can pretty much shit on the script and it will get approved as long as it sells toys.

Take some of the S5 ones for example. She's basically a PG pop star sterotype in pony form. Treehugger has no qualities besides "DUDE STONERS LMAO". Starlight Glimmer is pretty much Sunset 2.0. I can't even remember the name of that one whorse in Canterlot Botique. Thier designs are pretty great, but their personalities stick heavily to common archetypes we've seen before.

The episode itself was boring but i thought they did a good job with her characterization, she was talented but forgot her ways and when she realized that she put her shit together, a real pop star stereotype would be she being some snob, whinny bitch with a giant ego who cares about nobody but herself

Hold the fucking phone, just because she was a unicorn who was Twilight's rival it doesn't make her Sunset, hell, if anything she is closer to Trixie considering her sometimes cocky attitude, and Glimmer was both a great character and a great villain, who striked the mane 6 right on their ideologies while having a strong ideology herself, the only moment her character shat itself was during the finale when they explained her backstory

She was someone who, like Rarity, had big dreams and wanted to reach sucess, a shitty way to do her character would be making her a parasite who wanted to use Rarity's talent for her own profit, but at the end of the day she was just someone who was into the same project but had different ideas of what do, which is something that happens a lot when you're working with other people, sometimes they may have ideas themselves that they think its fine but you will not be okay with them

I think it would be great if he was a younger brother.
Fluttershy would be the best big sister.
