Finally, the big present for Kai is done. It took me days, but it was worth every minute. It is huge, and there was no blueprint or guide for Maud Pie, so I simply took a blueprint for Twilight and altered it. First, I only altered it slightly, but it in the end, I was forced to make a lot of changes.

I hate to be a neigh sayer, and I especially hate all the people yelling "MLP IS OVER ITS THE END," but I do have to say, at least in the merch department they're definetly scaling down. While looking for stuff for my Giftee, I've noticed a bunch of places online have either taken down the sections they've had for years dedicated to MLP and just lumped them in with everything else, and vastly lowered their inventory.

Hot Topic used to have 2 (at their peak 3) pages of just MLP stuff, each page holding somewhere around 25-30 items. Now they have 1 page with about 12 items. Even the brick and mortar stores I go to (one at home and one at school), they used to have a whole display rack dedicated to it, now it's just scattered throughout the store.

Build a Bear is also ending their MLP line, so when they run out, that's it. Already no more Celestia. Glad I got mine over the summer.

The main page of the Funko website where they display all of their current IPs doesn't have MLP listed out of 87 products, you have to search their site for it. Perhaps they're trying to promote other brands.

Perhaps the big fanfare of a movie (one that sounds like it will be advertised more, not the select showings of EQG) will pump back a bit more hype from the general public, but that's a ways away.

What sort of stories would ponies tell on/about Hearths Warming? I mean, we know the core story, more or less, but our culture certainly has more stories about Christmas than the birth of Christ.

The holidays are superficially pretty similar, but one is a religious holiday about the coming of an incarnation of God heralding the beginning of mercy through the mechanism of sacrifice for the sake of others and the other is a nationalist holiday about overcoming racism in the face of adversity and common struggle to found a country.

I feel like that would significantly change the nature of the stories told to impart the "true meaning of the holiday" and just hotswapping ponies into Christmas stories might not work right.

Sadly true that senpai. Since my local Tesco started having an "American" section here in Britbong land, filled with such delights as Twinkies, Lucky Charms, Oreo Jello, Pumpkin pie filling in a tin, egg nog, HUGE marshmallows, Milk Duds, Charleston Chew and fucking cinnamon chewing gum I've been able to sample many things I'd only heard about in comics and the movies.

They are nearly all revolting. Exception for Milk Duds. Once you get past the faux-chocolate the caramel isn't actually half bad, and a box lasts all day. Honourable mention for a Tootsie Roll. Doesn't taste of much, but if you fancy chewing something for a while it's great.

Ok Anons, just roll with me here. This is gonna sound as gay as Braeburn in a Turkish bathouse, but I need to say it:

Just every once in a while, I'll stop and think, "Am I really doing this? Only sitting on this board (among others) and just shooting the breeze? Hurridly green writing from time to time? Neverendingly looking at lewds of technicolor equines? Crappy shitposting? Everyone doing all of this, while I could be doing more constructive things like studiying a new topic, getting swole, finally unpacking that last box I said I was gonna unpack 3 months ago? Next I'll always remember why I do this.

As you may guess, I have friends in real life (believe it or not, even a grill friend), life's pretty good, I'm a pretty average guy, you probably wouldn't even know I like pastel equines unless you caught me on a day wearing an MLP shirt. But, to a degree, every interaction I have with people I know, isn't exactly 100 percent authentic. I've all been lied to, and some of us even have the misfortune of knowing when. DESU, even if you had a friend who 'told it like it is' and said they never lied to you, no friend will tell another friend 100 percent how they truly feel if they know it would hurt them. Cause' we're human, that's just what we do.

Here, with the anonymity, we have litterally no reason to do that. Even I say something, and someone agrees, or tells me off, that's really how they feel. I've had great conversations (some not even about pones) with Anons over the years, and I hold some of those posts closer to my heart than some things I've heard in real life because of that, whether it's /mlp/, or /n/, or /k/, or /ck/, hell, even /b/ or any other board, people have always been honest with me. So in an increasingly uncertain world, I'm glad I have this rock where even if people are telling the truth when they say I'm a faggot who should die, thay also are telling the truth when they occasionally say I'm cool.

Really, that's all I need.
