The TF group on FimFic is hosting a TF story contest, and various donors put up a fairly exorbitant prize pool ($170 for TF stories? Uh, okay...)
Since I'm one of the group admins, I can't compete myself, but you guys should really consider entering. Stories only have to be like 6k words and you'd have a chance at getting some cash. The contest has been open for the past month and we've had a whopping 2 total submissions so far, so honestly you guys stand a decent chance of winning something if you enter. Contest closes in a week, on December 7th.
If you're interested in entering, the good news is you don't even need to publish anything on FimFic, since all submissions are going to be via Google Docs. The annoying news is there's a short list of banal contest rules you have to skim over (courtesy of the contest's financiers). URL as follows:

I know, honestly I'm really not a fan of the tie in to TVTropes. I understand the fun little challenge it can provide I suppose, but it makes entering the contest really confusing for anyone who's not one of those people that reads TVTropes.org for hours. Seems a bit counterproductive for a contest whose point was to try and get more people writing TF stories. Well, the first financier of the contest wanted it, so it's in for better or worse. Shouldn't be a huge pain to find a few tropes from the list, but it's sort of an extra step of work. Condolences.
