It's Taco Tuesday today.

With these tacos I now complete a year's dedication to the occasion, this general, and dear, sweet Sonata, irreplaceable in the Dazzlings and in my heart.

I wanted to briefly comment on something I noticed about /dzg/. Despite the ups and downs these threads went through in the first year since they kicked off, I feel all of the drama has shaped this place into the hangout it is today. Arguments over things like artist favoritism, tripfagging, blogposting, and content value may have riled posters and derailed a thread or two or maybe a few - but it all serves as a kind of quality control, a system of checks and balances to prevent things from becoming too niche. It's exemplary of a site-wide habit, which is to constantly reaffirm what makes good threads and quality contributions, and whether we're drifting too far from our original purpose. Things have certainly calmed down since the start, and our threads last several days instead of one a day. But that's perfectly fine.

Anyways, that's all I wanted to say, was thanks for making sure the threads stay fresh and accessible to anyone who falls under the spell of our siren overlords.
