I need help, anons. So let's get down to business.

I was going to go for something like a pair of jbl es20's coupled with a BIC formula f-12 12" sub (475 Watts).

Cost is no more than $300-400.
Quality? Anything which has a balanced sound that still has a kick to it. Something that can get loud without overloading to the point where it will sound staticy or the speakers tear.
How long should they last? I dunno, my stereo has lasted me just about 10 years and they're still going strong but I want more umph. I'm just assuming that the durability will depend on the material made out of it. I suspect that there's a direct correlation there between how much you spend and how decent the speakers look.
Size/shape of my room is the outdated pic related.
The type of music I listen to covers a lot from electronic music such as:

so the sub you picked out should be fine for that room however dont pay attention to what they say the watts are look for the rms wattage. The rms wattage is what the subwoofer will handle without causing itself damage the bic is actually 150 watts rms. When looking at a set of speakers to me the sensitivity is important a speaker with 98db sensitivity will always use the power of the amplifier more efficiently than a speaker with a low sensitivity for example an 89db sensitivity speaker will require a more powerful amp to get the same sound the 98db sensitivity speaker. Therefore the es20's you picked out have an 86db sensitivity. What do you plan on powering these with?

I'm not sure. I'm assuming that the sub and speakers could be fed into a single cable that I would then plug into an outlet for power? Then feed it into my pc's motherboard which will then go through a virtual audio cable (asio4all) to FL Studio12 so I can fiddle around with the output from there.
The motherboard I have in an AsRock z97 extreme6 which uses Purity Sound2. I've always though of stuff like that to be a bunch of meme material but I figure it should do what I need it to.
Is that wrong? Do I need to get more hardware not be a complete scrub?

I'm using a set of Astro A50's that I got a few years back. I've been using FL Studio 11 and now 12 to essentially act as your standard headphone drivers to make them sound not as muffled. Pic related.

You should really go to a headphone-or-something shop where you could try sennheiser hd650 or beyerdynamics dt880. You might make headphones sound better by tweaking, but you'll never make them sound like another headphones.

Eventually when I'm out of this college house and get my own, there will be an entertainment center revolved around my setup for sure. I know it's late, but as a writefag maybe I can offer one or two tips. Ones that helped me.

First avoid starting each new line with tavi or scratch. Utilize descriptors to build a scene where the characters interact. Green formatting can be tricky but generally:

"I am speaking" [Main of the story, or focal character]
>"She is speaking" [Character other that the the main or focal point]
>They spoke with each other. [A scene descriptor]

Now these are pretty generalized and won't apply to every situation, but they are good points that helped me start writing green.
