I defended Ex-Aid's pacing when most of /m/ said it was too fast. Even I think Build is moving too fast.

It's fine if they have enough plot threads to fill a whole season. But if they don't, they just wasted five or six episodes worth for no apparent reason.

i actually liked how fast Ex-Aid was in the beginning but holy shit Build episode 2 is something else. those jarring cuts because they need to get to the next scene 5 seconds ago and how emotional the episode was when no one is really going to be THAT attached to the characters yet... it really was too early for something like this i think. i did still enjoy it, but it's definitely a concern.

Basically, Hongo's actor, Hiroshi Fujioka, breaks his leg in a motorcycling stunt. He's out of the show for the time being to recover. They still need a Kamen Rider, however. After a few episodes with a "stand-in" Hongo who's suit-only, they introduce Hayato Ichimonji, Kamen Rider 2. Shocker also becomes a lot less fucking freaky after that point for a good while, though they'll sucker punch you with a few really good moments.
