I never heard of that and I've been on /m/ for a long time, and even if it did happen, it's probably only one guy.

Ken Ishikawa, Gosaku Ota, Mitsuru Hiruta, Shinobu Kaze all worked on their own manga.

It's common knowledge that his assistants helped him a lot. He had to give back a thousand pages every month back then.
