Hard to say. I'd assume it can hijack any spiral-power based technology, since things like Lordgenom's ship didn't look anything like a Gunmen until Lagann took control. Anything based on that power, it just assumes control.

But I don't think it can just control anything. It drilled through rock, it didn't drill into the rock and turn the ground into a Gunmen. So most Mecha I would put outside its reach.

Originally, Mecha like Getter might actually be MORE vulnerable to takeover than most mechs, since spiral power and Getter energy are so similar.

I feel like trying to take control of an Eva would just wake it up and cause a berserk event. Conceptually, Evas are based on Angels, which don't evolve. So no spiral power, and indeed you could make an argument that they are anti-spiral power.

If we do end up with a giant energy Yui, its not going to be a good thing. Do you really want a universe-wide Third Impact?
