Amuro is closer, but still very off-model.
The shape of his head is different, the shape of his face, the shape of his jaw, the shape of his eyes, the position of his eyes, the shape of his nose, etc. These two pictures could be two different people with the same haircut. The two versions of Kai are two different people entirely, just with the same hair color. Origin Kai doesn't even act like MSG Kai.
