The opening was recorded on VHS in the 1980s and if you're real lucky in the 1990s from a tv broadcast. No HD just standard PAL.
And audio in these broadcasts was mono (by law in Italy) so the local broadcasters wouldn't be able to compete on quality with the state broadcaster RAI. Pretty fucked up eh ?

The first op was taken down and replaced due to the word race being included among other things. When you think about it, the first French Grendizer OP sounded a bit too much like a national theme with call to action.

I lived where we could get channels from Quebec, and it's probably because I watched it as a kid so rose-tinted glasses are in full effect, but I thought Goldorak had a pretty good dub. I thought they were pretty clever with the choice of words they used to rename the attacks, for instance.
