Well I tought the VN was pretty light hearted, Kurou is a goofball most of the time and I actually kinda like his interactions with Al.
Granted, I tend to like straight man comedy.
I only read Al's route and I don't know enough moon to play the second VN so there you go.

Elder God Demonbane is just Demonbane with Shantak.

Vortex Blaster, from what we've seen, does not have Shantak (at least, not attached) and is currently missing its right arm.

Elder God's basically the final form (the Shantak) it gets at the very end of the original VN with Kuro and Al sticking with Demonbane instead of going back to Earth, like they normally do

A shame the anime didn't do the VN justice. It was way too short and had a lot of "quality". It couldn't cover the entire VN and ommitted Metatron. It did have some star seiyuus such as Hikaru Midorikawa, Takehito Koyasu, and Norio Wakamoto.

I did. She more of a cameo and only see her flying. She never fought or was relevant to the plot unlike the VN. She's pretty much omitted. Only her real identity Leica made an actual appearance but she tuened into a side character.

It's got an indescribable aesthetic that just looks nice. It's blocky, but has parts that look like the pages of a closed book mixed with curves. It's all over the place but comes together nicely.
