No.

>Those sliding knee panels for smoother articulation
>shutter panels on the wrists for the iron cutters
>hundreds of individual power cells inside the transparent chest ornaments
It makes me rock hard.
They all look identical
1969 is the best design.

You don't even know what psoriasis looks like.

I think the design philosophy is neat, and there are some individual parts (like the legs as >>15825359 stated) look pretty good. Overall though, I don't think these things compliment the look of Mazinger. One of the the reasons a lot of older mecha designs hold up (for me at least) is due to their very concise forms. They've got very clear silhouettes, very sturdy basic forms, and this particular way of updating Mazinger detracts from that in my opinion.
TL:DR I Think I'd like this type of look for an original creation, but not specifically for a Mazinger update.

Media promotion uses "Mazinger's final battle?" for this movie.
I guess it will drop all panels near the end of the movie, and reveal something much tastier underneath it.
I kinda like it, but personally prefer the classic smoothed out look over this new detailed and more squared-off version.
