You have to understand that we would be comparing him to kaiju and super weapons from other Godzilla films, which are all much more powerful and advanced than anything Shin had to deal with in his movie. The Super X-3 was capable of pacifying one of the most exceptional iterations of Godzilla who was on the verge of destroying the planet. It would down Shin with just a few cryo missiles after tanking an atomic breath the same way it did against Burning Godzilla. Only this time, he would be down for good, not just a temporary measure.

A glass canon is never good in a one on one kaiju battle. Specially if it has no measures to deal with close range encounters. Even attempting to slap another monster with that ginormous tail would take way too long.

Isn't a MOAB the most powerful non-nuclear weapon? Nothing else even registered. For being as early into his mutation as he was that should be considered impressive. And again, he healed from the strike instantly. Most incarnations of Godzilla are pretty old and experienced. Shin G's potential for "evolution" is literally endless. He will change as necessary. His atomic breath developed on the spot specifically to take out the stealth bombers. Is that not a testament to his abilities?

There is no proof that any other Godzilla withstood a superweapon far more powerful than a fucking bunker buster. At most lasers and missiles from a super X or mechagodzilla made explosions that were tiny when compared to what Shin withstood. And that's with a MOP exploding inside of him. They're all different types of forces anyways, and hardly anything Godzilla has taken on before is comparable.
