Why does anyone bother to defend getter? It's "evolution" it's preaching isn't even evolution- and it doesn't have the right to force it's beliefs on others, no mater what they are.

Teens, insecure and immature people in general love some pretentious babble about shit they barely understand. It makes them feel smart.

Well no one really defends it, in the manga it's presented as horrifying and the whole reason these aliens come to earth is to stop humans from propagating getter throughout the universe. Ryoma retires after finding out what lies in store/what the truth about getter was and Hayato spends his time trying to develop alternatives to getter robo so that mankind can survive all these invasions without selling their souls. It doesn't work out in the end but nobody's happy about having to resort to getter again

This.
The true villain in the end is the Getter, neither the Getter team nor its enemies, although one can argue that getting eaten by the Getter is akin to get one with the universe or some shit like that, in short eternal life.
>>15811611
makes you wonder just how terrifying getter is in the future that aliens keep risking a time paradox to achieve peace.
or is it because they keep sending anti-getter stuff that they just screw themselves by making getter stronger with each boss they throw at it.

What is "Getter?" Is it like protoculture or something? I always thought it was just the name of the robot.
>>15812323
yeah it's an energy source just like protoculture
>>15812323
It's the will of evolution, choosing which races evolve to later cultivate it and which races are destroyed.
>>15812255
I don't get it.

I think she's supposed to be Abe no Seimei, who was the villain of the Heian Era arc
>>15814303
No that's Raiko, as in that nice thick samurai lady that killed herself to power up a sword.
