Calves look to be the same, just longer thighs. It looks like he's filled in the hip socket, then cut the top off. After that he's fitted the modified thigh to a separate hip part so that the leg can actually spin around 360° at the hip.

Sadly got no response last thread so I'll just try again in this one.

Anons I have a question. I recently got a display case for my gunpla, but there is only one spot in my room where I can/could place it. Sadly this spot is partially in direct sunlight for 4 hrs of the day. This causes some kits to be in direct sunlight for an hour at most (with the sun shifting). Now the sun is going through the window glass, blinders that only partially block out the sun and then the glass of the display case. Should I be worried of my painted kits getting discolored or will they be fine?

As someone who has nowhere else to put a display shelf but mostly exposed to sunlight, it might be best to get a topcoat with uv protection.

I have painted and topcoated kits that are still fine, but it's only been a year or two so it may be too early to tell.
Unpainted kits I used to have took quite some time in the sunlight before color changes occured

Also discovered the magic of polishing block. Although I gotta say, some of the marks actually filed flat, I tried couple of step with different grits but the marks are not going away, its just shiny now, I might have used too much force. I am guessing the only way get rid of it is to paint it.

Before I moved on to polishing blocks, I usually stopped at 3000. Generally, the only appreciable difference that I notice is at 320 - 600 level. Its actually creating a "halo" effect, so it has a dark core where nub used to be and everything else have light color around it, because I filed the entire surface. I used to go at it pretty hard and I had an entire surface sort of... filed away and change shape but the nub halo still there. I almost flipped the table at that point.

Last minute entries seem to be my thing. I've ran into a slight problem where the additions I've made will look better in a green than the blue I had planned... So I need to go grab some paint tomorrow.

For me, the reason I stick to HG is the size of my wallet. That, and every once and while, an MS catches my eye that I really want a kit for. But no one else likes it, it barley gets any screen time, and is overshadowed by another suit. So no master grade kit. Hamma Hamma assembled! The thing is really big and has a lot of moving parts. Front skirts can pop off if you lift them too high. The joint where the leg connects to the hip doesn't hold very well, but some glue will fix that. The ankles are sturdier than I imagined and it can stand well once you balance it out.

Well guys its been fun but at this point I don't see much point in continuing with this hobby. This year there have been a total of 8 p bandai MG releases compared to 5 regular releases. And now GMs counterattack has more p Bandai releases than regular releases.

Not to mention the fact they didn't put the p Bandai logo on the X maoh or fenice means all bets are off at this point and we can't tell what is or is not p bandai until its listed on bandais website.

I am pleasantly surprised that this GM Sniper Custom doesn't conform to the 90% retro style of the other GM Ver.2.0s, but has incorporated some modern design elements. Of course, they didn't go with Takegawa's lineart.

The shield itself is really heavy but it can hold the shield over its head pretty well, its mostly a matter of balancing the rest of it to not lean over too much. A stand is needed to get really dynamic poses.

With the shortest arm configuration, there's not a lot of room to angle the shield, but with the longer arms it is insanely poseable. The clear arm stands help a lot too.

A bit overdone in my opinion. Also, look up the varous chipping techniques, some of it looks pretty bad. I feel like starting with sponge and then continuing on that with a fine brush is a fairly easy way.
