This is dumb, Zero System was a fucking software, not a power-up gimmick like NT-D. Wing Zero always had the Zero System on, so retconning into an on-off super mode makes Wing's plot even dumber than it already is, since a quarter of the story was devoted to how pilots couldn't control the Zero System. If it had an off switch, it would have never exchanged so many pilots.

Looking at this guy, I like it. To me at least it's not even that bad. If the panels had drastically shifted and there was glowing or some sort of effect that came from the inner-frame, then I woudl have a problem. But this just isn't that.
