Build Fighters is a good love letter to Gundam and you'll probably be surprised that they managed to make an actually good Toy Tournament Fighter anime, migth be the Obari factor. Don't watch Try asides for the episode with the Tryon 3 fight.

Symphogear is the most fun show since fun came to funtown, if you're willing to accept /m/ahou shoujo karaoke power armor. It's got 4 seasons of varying quality right now with a 5th on the way, if you're looking for something fairly long. Avoid /sgg/ when a season's not airing though.

Ignore this guy >>15784840. if you liked the original Eureka Seven, then you will either loathe or absolutely hate E7:AO. Aquarion EVOL starts off great but drops down super hard after the Banana episode when they remember they not only need to finish a plot but also need to tie it in with the original series. Aquarion Logos is alright though since it doesn't try to connect itself too much to the rest of the Aquarion series as EVOL did. Check out Concrete Revolutio if you enjoy the stylings of 60s/70s super robots/tokusatsu/super heroes.

At this point just watch Valvrave to see what the fuss is all about, and why a show got memed to death so hard you can barely discuss it here.

There's the obvious picks like Build Fighters season 1 and Majestic Prince so I'll list some others.

Majin Bone is a surprisingly really great shounen series with CG that's actually good, I would highly recommend it.

Classroom Crisis was fun but I think most people found it a bit forgettable. Worth checking out if you like the idea of a spaceship R&D department in a war against the executive department.

Bubuki Buranki is a show where you can tell that the staff working on it cared a lot, but the plot is kind of crap and the show's high point was the second half of season 1 after Epizo shows up.

Concrete Revolutio is a fantastic show and a love-letter to classic superheroes of every genre, and had excellent animation.

Active Raid was also a fantastic show about cops in power armour. It was episodic with an overarching plot and pure fun.

ID-0 was a pretty good show about space miners mind-uploading into mecha-sized robot bodies with a very low viewership since it wasn't simulcast and had to be fansubbed. Definitely worth taking a look.

G-Reco was good but it's divisive as fuck so your mileage will vary.

I felt like that got balanced out by most of the "special attacks" just being them giving normal attacks a fancy name. It was a bit annoying, but it wasn't a gamebreaker.

None of the other fights can compete with Wolf and Tiger's last fight, though.

And I have no idea what you schmucks see in it: The pacing is horrendously slow, the art and animation are subpar, the music is ear rape, none of the characters are decent, it insults its main audience, there was very little action, and ecchi shit was forced in. It deserves far fucking worse than your "one shitposter boogeyman". No other anime has made me stop and make me think "was Valvrave really anywhere near as bad as THIS?"

If you haven't seen it yet, Star Driver's pretty good. For shows past 2012, I'd recommend Gundam IBO. I've only seen season 1 and I don't like it at all, but I know people who do enjoy it so you might as well try it and see what you think.

I see this argument a lot and I honestly can't see WHY there are people who think AO is better than the original. Visually, save for a few moments of quality, it might be better, but the soundtrack isn't as good, the characters are either bland or underdeveloped, the story is a complete joke compared to the original (and completely shits on its predecessor to justify its existance), and it honestly doesn't work because it can't decide whether it wants to be its own thing or a direct continuation so it just decides to be both, which ends up making it fail miserably. There ARE some great moments in AO that I think are very much worth watching the show for, but the bad greatly outweighs the good.
