But yeah it's really great. Great score, great music, great stories, tons of great lines.

That robot person the :D ship takes up reminds me of Ideon era Tomino.

I first saw it on TNT a million years ago that summer they played Heavy Metal, Robot Carnival, D, and some other stuff.

A couple of years later I saw it a bunch when they did the theatrical revival before finally putting it out on VHS.

I forget, do any of the other segments feature characters that had long comic runs of their own, or just Captain Sternn?
