I know the troll at the end was gigantic, but I wouldn't call this a kaiju movie. It's worth watching, in my opinion, regardless. It's a faux-documentary about Scandinavian folkloric monsters.

By that standard alot of classic movies aren't in the genre
Hair splitting serves no purpose, especially based on screentime, that would rule out even some Japanese movies

That part where UberFreder wrestles GrosseRotwangRobo while they climb to the the top of tower was really unnecessary to the themes of the film.
