Urgh.
I don't get why this game is so revered.
Any actual story mission I try to undertake I find out I'm too underpowered for with various set-ups and load-outs. Training missions are way too long-winded and if you die during them you don't keep anything you've earned up to that point and this seems to happen way more than I'd like at certain points.
Furthermore, and I thought this when it came out, it looks aesthetically ugly and cheap. I think this is especially applicable to the game-exclusive suits.
I want to like this game but it's a struggle each time.

I went to post a reply to this but I couldn't figure out why I like the game.
I guess it's how you can upgrade the suits IE Zaku 2 > Zaku 2S > Char's Zaku 2S. As well as the variety of weapons and load out options.
But it's so grindy to get anything you want. 10 Upgrade parts to get Lydo's GM Sniper 2 means you have to play that damn defend the array mission at least 10 times.
Overall, it's just Crossfire done better. You aren't as quick as Vs. or as powerful as Dynasty Warriors, it fits the "feel" pretty well.

Honestly I just considered it Crossfire without the battle damage mechanic and an actual story, that said the grind never bothered me much, but i can understand that destroying other peoples enjoyment.
