We had a lot of momentum going into making a private server. But unfortunately two notorious players known by Crix and OmegaSwordEx decided to use that brief window of excitement to push a fake private server.

Then they scammed potential players out of money for "server donations" using IRC. Players came onto the SDGO /m/ thread to complain in mass, but Crix, OmegaSwordEX, and his friends all just laughed at anyone on the thread claiming "you should have known better than to trust us." They even posted photos of them buying stuff with the stolen money. They then hid in their private discord channel laughing.

Karma has a funny way of working. Because it turns out we we're missing a few key SDGO server files to get the private server going. We asked online if anyone had them. Two people we found claimed they did and were willing to sell/donate them, but early in the deal they found out it was the 4chan community who wanted it, they basically said, "4chan? You guys are apart of those scammers Crix and Omega. Fuck that shit. Deal's off." And then cancelled the deal both times.

We started our own discord, and tried to work with the files we did have, but without the key server files, the game freezes. We also tried creating a new SDGO game from scratch, but the project fell through (it's a lot of work). We asked if anyone wanted to help, but we just got a token response that wasn't much help. For some reason, Crix and Omega found our discord and decided to hang in our main chat, but we secretly are annoyed by that as well. But they have too many friends that cross-over in the community, so we tolerate them in order to avoid drama.

So basically it was all Crix and OmegaSwordEX's fault for destroying any chance of a private server SDGO in North America.

We need a log of captured game packets (communication logs between your PC and the game server). Extremely easy to create.

Just run capture packet software in the background of your computer while you play a round of SDGO. 5 minutes to 10 minutes tops. But apparently with the thousands of players that played this game.... no one did it, or is willing to share. So it's too late now since the original server is gone.

A *complete* set of SDGO server files. We only have a partial set of server files (missing a few key files) Currently, it freezes when we test the SDGO private server with them.

They don't give it out to anyone easily. It was a monumental effort just to gain the "privilege" of being invited to their chatroom just to ask them for the files, and they don't like foreigners. Think our IRC drama was anal? Multiply that x1000. They super investigate all members before giving access. They only give access to their absolute trusted members. Including real identities, and charge you around $200 dollars just to *start* an account. They have your identity, so if the game info leaks, then they know who to identity theft in real life as punishment.
