an overpowered brute that would steamroll any opposition?
it's not like combining the dinobots would produce a tactical genius that can perform amazing feats of agility in it's asskicking pursuits.
>>15757998
What the fuck is this design? It looks awful.
>>15757998
Probably, but I would say the Beast went too genocidal. Combiners aren't supposed to be that batshit insane.
>>15757998
No one really asked for a Dinobot combiner, and the beast was just bizarre, looking more like some sort of Frankenstein monstrosity than a combiner.
>>15758004
>>15758018
in-universe? it's supposed to be a monstrosity.
real life, just bad art (not sure how it would look if another artist took a stab at it).
there really is no real marketable need to make an official dinobot combiner but most dinobot combiner designs and customs are pretty much welcomed/liked (except this one obviously).
>>15758015
aren't most decepticon combiners insane anyway?
>>15757998
> it's not like combining the dinobots would produce a tactical genius
Maybe not a tactical genius but combining would presumably include adding their brains (or what) to each other in a networked computing way, so it should result in 1 unit smarter than the any individual component.
>>15758031
so it has the IQ of several pieces of toast combined
>>15758041
murderous, mechathunderlizard toast
>>15757998
Yeah, I think it's just that most people don't want a Dinobot combiner, myself included. It misses the point of what makes the Dinobots fun, which is the way they stupidly fight everything, including each other
Than and Transformers has far too many combiner teams
>>15758031
>>15758041
Unfortunately, like every G1 Combiner that isn't Devastator, this combiner would have some problems.
I'm not sure what these problems would be, but I'm pretty sure that the Autobot Combiner Teams would would give some insights into what these would be.
>>15758182
>Than and Transformers has far too many combiner teams
I think it was fine in G1 since every combiner had a notable weakness, and a counterpart on the other side that contrasted their abilities. Later entries really lost this balance of power though and I think it harmed things for the worse.
>>15758626
What was supposed to be Predaking's weakness? Or Defensor's? Or Liokaiser's? Or Piranacon's? Or bloody Victory Saber's?
>>15758321
comics dinobots maybe (they aren't earth made battle drones)
tv dinobots? nope.
>>15758771
the TV profile for predaking literally has them say "no known weaknesses"?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3SzWwOuLLk
>>15758321
What are the issues for the other combiners? I only know Devastator cannot think straight once combined and Computron has small capacity.
>>15759265
really iffy because of how writers portray them as such. one writer can make them very coherent, the other will make them barely sentient war machines.
also computron has a small what?

oh that (pre brain boost)
grimlock made a combiner team...
OUT OF UNICRON PARTS!
with his puny t-rex arms.
>>15758771
>>15759238
Predaking according to his tech specs and official bio has no known weaknesses. Bob Budiansky must have really liked Predaking.
>>15759311
Forgot Pic.
>>15759313
Pirahnacon has no physical weakness, but is perhaps even more singleminded than even Predaking, and thus is more focused on THE HUNT than his own well being or the mission.
>>15759318
>>15758771
>What was supposed to be Predaking's weakness
He's weak against GLORIOUS
>>15759322
Finally, Defensor has ADD.
>>15758031
not really
networking could be failed and such, resulting in unpredictable and unstable decision making.
>>15759307
Hey, you cannot hate a smart t-rex robot who looks good in an apron.
>>15759318
that devil's due mini-series where pirahnacon jobs to predaking.
was pirahnacon in the water when that happened or outside of it? can't recall and can't find scans of it outside pirahnacon being pimpslapped.
>>15759326
Would be hilarious if that actually showed up in fiction. Just imagine Defensor going toe to toe with Abominus in some epic battle and then Defensor totally shuts down because Groove started thinking about Jazz music
>>15759356
Finally, the remaining combiner weaknesses are
Devastator - Slow and awkward, six minds mean he doesn't smart good, easily outwitted
Superion - Strictly focused on defeating Decepticons, cannot think on his feet or improvise. The spots where he combines together are structurally weak.
Menasor - Most fractured mind. Stunticons hate Menasor, and the giant has moments where it fights within its own mind for control. Slow and lumbering.
Bruticus - Brawl is SO STUPID that he reduces 4 other incredibly bright military units into a giant idiot who has no initiative of his own. Will literally stand around doing nothing unless told otherwise. Big and easy target.
Computron - Overthinks. Can spend more time analyzing a situation than actually doing the best course of action. Possible chances he can even overheat if processing too much data.
Abominus - FULL. RETARD.
>>15758031
Actually, combiners are almost always dumber than their individual parts. Any dissonance at all between the components dulls the resulting gestalt's wits or produces greater risk of insanity. Computron's the one exception, and that comes at the cost of reaction time.
>>15759399
There are a lot of exceptions to combiners being stupid, not just Computron. See >>15758771
this am better
