Why is the background noise so much louder on the 0079 BD transfer?

Why is the background noise so much louder on the 0079 BD transfer? Thinking about just keeping my DVD files instead.

The blu-ray has way more post-processing than the original DVD, and pretty much the same amount as the most recent one. Dunno what you're talking about brah.

Do you mean audio hiss, as in literal noise, or film grain?
